Here is how i see it.
Chief can kill a guardian as many times as he can...but a guardian will keep respawning no matter what...and that is a fact...you cannot defeat something that won't stay dead

Thank you for speaking logic. Everyone else is just to big of a fanboy to even consider logic. All it is is Master Chief's reactions are too quick and would survive any super attack

Just destroy the ghost... It really wouldn't take chief long to figure that out.

I don't think it would be that easy..whats he going to do? Crush it...the ghosts do have shield...we see them when they are scanning

If chief has cortana it'd be no problem at all. If not... You can't resurrect a guardian who's just a bunch of pieces, right? Like a scrambled egg?

It can be too difficult. The firs few missions of the campaign come to mind. You have to collect 5-6 dead ghosts from the Fallen i believe. If they could figure it out, I'm sure chief could.

If i am correct they kill ghosts through some kind of dark magic...i dont think chief would be able to kill a ghost...but to each their own

Fallen don't have dark magic, they just kill it, The hive are the ones with dark magic And maybe vex if you consider the heart of the garden

Think about it tho, ghost can phase in and out of tangibility that's why he is called ghost. So if you think about it, it would be harder for chief to kill ghost if ghost just kept disappearing. Also chief would have to take the ghosts light. But assuming chief because he is a hero has the light in him, I'm assuming a creature of light, can't take another creatures light, unless they are corrupt.

Many guardians have killed other guardians Not to mention, when a guardian dies, ghosts aren't "ghosts" anymore At death they have to materialize and begin the process of re spawning you Meaning yes, chief can just crush your ghost and kill you
