Edited by on3sh0t2345: 8/13/2015 1:39:47 AMFor everyone who has posted on this thread that they can't wait for the 2.0 weapon rebalancing especially for thorn you didn't understand the 2.0 corrections for thorn which they have essentially done nothing about and it will still probably be the most used gun for crucible. Here are the changes: Changes: Reduce base damage of Thorn’s Mark of the Devourer DoT (Damage over Time) to roughly 1/3 of what it was in PVP and PVE Allow DoT to stack up to 5x across multiple landed projectiles This is a net buff for Thorn’s DoT, but reduces the lethality of the weapon in PVP So what they are doing is making thorn impossible to two hit headshot someone but three hit kills will still happen due to the DoT

So glad this and tlw are getting nerfed. If you use it in regular pvp, it tells alot that clearly you have to rely on it. Just had fun decimating one of my friends who was using tlw yesterday with praedeths timepiece. I think I'm gonna enjoy weapon patch 2.0 while all the tlw and thorn users try to find their next crutch but im already ahead when I gave up my thorn and tlw.

2 RepliesI'm not a huge fan of thorn myself, and yes I do have it. Bottom line though is that at this point in Destinys life it is one of the top tier weapons for PvP (the meta of the game). If you don't want to use it in PvP (which I don't) then good on you, but don't complain about other people trying to be competitive. If your not using an exotic hand cannon in competitive play then your putting a handicap on yourself right out of the gate, and if you can get great games without it then you're a monster. Be happy with your own skill, and stop complaining.

No, if you use Thorn you're simply a player with an exotic gun. You use pencils right? People think that just cause you use pencils you're a child. No, you're simply using a pencil because there's a dandy eraser on it, or you just don't have a pen. Thorn is a gun and its meant to be used. It's being nerfed anyway so...

I can understand why they would use it in ToO or Iron Banner. It's a great gun and you need every advantage to win when the stakes are high. But to be a level 34 and use Thorn in regular crucible is just bottom of the barrel pathetic.
