No, you can't farm chests. People still pick them up on the way past though, during bounties or whatever, and for the queens bounties on a Tuesday.

I was amazed people do the wolves spawns at all. For the weekly key bounty, the light blue bounties for Shanks is faster and easier. For keys, the 28 PoE gives house of judgement rep and keys, strange coins, motes, plus the odd exotic.

If you do all six though, you can level the queen twice a month. Plus, if you're killing the wolves on the way through, you might as well have the chest too.
