I'm worrying about the lack of empathy some of you guys have towards this game. Some of you are on here telling people to quit destiny, or to "-blam!- bungie" so to speak. Why? Why spread the word to players or each other about how you want to see the demise of a company before putting any input into improving it first. All you're doing is lashing out at a game that's not fully functional yet. All games get better, so that's why I give bungie advice, not hate mail or comment "-blam!- you guys". There's no point, they see that and they skim past you because you're not giving feedback you're bitching about your personal issues with the game. You know what they think, they think -blam!- you too, go play another game. Only loyal bungie fans stick with destiny. I can tell you guys that I hated the game at release. It was way to much brokenness.... I could do it, but a half a year later I get back on, and look I love playing it, the game has improved by ten fold. How? You guys? Not the "I fuming hate thorn people" but by the "here's how thorn can be improved" people. Spam advice not hate guys. Then they might start listening, because frankly, I would ignore a fan base too if most of them were there to hate me too....

10 RepliesThe difference between destiny and other games that get better is that activision makes you pay for improvements and additions that should have been in the game in the first place, and that's why everyone hates them, myself included

2 RepliesEdited by beta 3: 8/4/2015 10:08:48 PMThis is what happens when a forum of solely Halo players gets melded together with the CoD crowd from both platforms.

20 RepliesI have been posting in the feedback category for almost a year. Nothing was listened to. No suggestions taken. Only Bungie saying that they are listening and doing whatever they feel like doing anyway. It's somewhat difficult to not be salty about the way things have been going after all that time with virtually nothing done that actually was on the feedback forum and large tinkers with gameplay vs many smaller ones that would be able to be ninja patched. Also the fact that they are pricing the dlcs to equal a subscription price is bogus. This is not WoW as much add I'm sure Activision would like that.

Destiny is turning into COD sadly, a very toxic environment

3 RepliesLook guys we have a sucker who is tied up to bungies work place that barks at people who say bad things about shit bungie. Lol. People can sau what ever they want. This is a fail game people should not buy it.
-
They have feedback and they have all the other games created to look at and see what works. It seems like they are retarded or don't care.
-
It would be nice if there was a forum for only civil conversation and legitimate feedback. If your post or reply has profanity, it's removed. (easiest way to tell if a post is worth reading) I enjoy getting on the forums and discussing a game I truly enjoy, with others. Sadly every time I make a post it is met with hate, name calling, and thoughtless comments. Plus all decent posts are passed up by don't buy TTK, bungie is the worst, thousands of nerf complaints over the same issue, or utter nonsense posts. I have not been active at bungie since clan battles were a big deal and It's sad at what our community has become over the years.
-
Alright I would recommend doing the opposite of what your doing bungie.

I believe people are tired and really don't feel they are being heard. Honestly, who asked for icebreaker to be nerfed? The gallly? The black hammer? I don't think I remember seeing that, ever. Who was asking for the guns that they enjoy to be obsolete? Who thinks emotes new players could care less about, stuck behind a 20 dollar pay wall is anything but greedy? People wanted fun added, fixed glitches, match making, easy socializing, serious vault space for a change, etc. What do we get, fixed cheeses, loot cave closings, nerfs for everything, the least amount of vault space they could give us and......what? Nothing. People have every right to complain. It's gotten to the point where they've earned the anger completely. No longer can we say, "Oh, they are working it out, give then some time." They've had plenty. Look, I'm glad you like it and other do to but for those who don't... This is the place to say it. So when you have given advice a million times and it's mostly goes unheeded, time to start throwing bombs... Squeaky wheel gets the grease. However, I don't think you will have to put up with it much longer... This is the kind of rage that ends with people quitting the game for good. It should get very peaceful around here soon and then you'll have peace.

3 RepliesI am guilty of being an asshole on these forums. I don't deny it. But, Jesus, the sheer volume of stupid on these forums is nearly unbearable. Sometimes a stupid person just needs to be told they're stupid. I fear a lot of these younger kids have never been told that they're opinions are shit. They've grown up being told how great they are and how special they are. Then they get on the internet and just proceed to spout the intellectual equivalent of vomit. Sometimes, it literally makes my head hurt.
-
2 RepliesIt's not just against the game, some people/kids are really bad on here. They are rEally ruining the community and the gaming environment.
-
I said this to a player on here and I think it's something else I wanted to add. "Yeah, it ( making a constructive comment) is actually better than profanity, you do in fact (psychologically and logically and factually) get your point across better with constructive criticism. You're exactly what I'm talking about. It's called giving advice and not hate. You can be annoyed with someone and still give advice. You just need to format your thoughts with a structure and a precise tone in order to convey your message.

Well said

The community as a whole for Destiny is incredible. One of the best out there. But these forums are just toxic and not at ALL a representation of most Destiny players out there. The people in here just complaining are a small minority (and I don't think they realize it)

We've been here since the beta. Some since before the beta. We were all sold a bag of lies when it came to this game. Starting with the base game Release all the way through HoW. We've asked questions and made suggestions and we're all ignored. Then they started talking about the next gaming abortion. Two handfuls of story missions that will have nothing to do with the game we've played for almost a year. Now they put out this ridiculous mass nerf. Bungievision has earned ALL of the if the heat they've been given. They created this situation when they nerfed the base game before it was even released. They they doubled and tripled down with the DLCs.

24 RepliesHeres what u fail to understand. We've tried giving feedback and advice. Theyre just too fukking stupid to listen Take for example map rotation in trials. People loved it, cozmo made a thread devoted to feedback on that one thing, and a large majority said they should keep it. So of course, this week they dont have it Now if u were one of those people who wanted rotation to stay, wouldnt u be pissed at how retarded and incompetent and pathetic bungie is? Be honest

11 RepliesHere is the problem I have: it's not Bungie that is at fault, it's Activision. Destiny, when brought up to MS, was a grand idea that had potential to equal games like Halo, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, etc. MS wanted another Halo. Now we know the rest of Bungie's story from there. However, here is what happened with Activision: They accepted the idea with open arms, even saying they would fund it all. "Only this has to go," they said. "This, this, and this will all be later dlc. This will be removed, that will be reworked, these parts are stupid, and the ending has to be a cliffhanger so we can make more games." By the time Bungie knew it, a third of their game was scrapped, most of the remainder was forced into DLC, and the leftover bones were packed up as the base game. Being funded by the company, Bungie had no choice, and had to meet the demands of the money whore. In all honesty, I'm damn surprised there is no micro transactions to be seen yet. Pray Bungie never breaks on that matter. Bungie may control what is in play now, but they have little to no say in how/when/the price on anything added into the game, Activision does. Personally, I don't think Bungie could have gone with a worse company. At least MS gave them the freedom to do as they wished do long as it was Halo.

Agree. I think as a community we can have more constructive criticism and advice than just cursing and throwing profanities bungie's way. Is destiny perfect? No! Is it fun? Yes! Can it grow into something amazing? Yes but with time. Let me tell you as a fan base one series that was pushed almost to oblivion... TOMB RAIDER . Why? Before the angel of darkness came out fans demanded a game now! Fast and spat out hate towards the developer CORE DESIGNS. The game was rushed unfinished lack luster. And TOMB RAIDER almost never existed again. We as fans have a lot to say and we should we paid our hard earned money. But BUNGIE put their sweat into it to I don't believe all of them care just about the dollar but about amazing fun game! Can we just be a little nicer maybe with a bigger vocabulary than just 4 letter words. We could give them more motivation to fix more.
-
1. They do listen to constructive criticism. 2. Lack of Empathy is part of Narcissistic Entitlement. 3. Many of the people who post here have no real interest in actually improving the game.

Edited by FiveStarMan: 8/4/2015 4:33:27 AMI love your post. A lot of people try to write similar posts on here and end up complaining about the complainers. You read their posts and they seem somewhat hypocritical. Yours however, is very well done. We need more calm and reasonable Guardians like yourself on these forums.

I hate u

Great post. I feel the same way. Look at the Konami -Kojima split, gamers around the world wanted Konamis head. The funny thing was millions of Metal Gear fans never stopped to think about anything. Yes I'm comparing two different games with different issues, but yelling and stomping your feet doesn't help. Supporting them. with active and good constructive feed back, not -blam!- guys.

Edited by jchill001: 8/4/2015 12:00:26 AM
I'm worrying about the lack of empathy some of you guys have towards this game.
If bungie/activision didn't lie to us and sold us the game we were originally promised then I wouldn't be lacking empathy toward it

I agree, most people on the forums dont know how to give actual feedback.
