Thank you, this helps me understand why. Just some friendly feedback from a regular player: there has to be better ways to do this. In this specific case I was a level 30 and I didn't go to the strike playlist, I went to the actual strike on Venus. I happened to get paired up with a lvl 33 and a lvl 34, both of whom do considerable more damage than I do. I hit the nexus with at least two rockets, but in the short time that I turned to clean up some stragglers and support the fireteam, the other two must have finished him off. Later when the kill report came up, I had 55 kills to the lvl 34s 38 kills. I know you guys have to draw the line somewhere, but specific to this level, the thresholds set for the bounty don't seem to be...fair. Thanks for looking into my post.
