When I first played Destiny I had no care in the world what gender or species my character was, or how they looked. I wasn't sure if I could change the details later, but I hoped, and just went with it. Now after playing almost 900 hours in the game I tend to look at my character a lot. Whether it be the dance move or my ugly face, I am really hoping in Year 2 Bungie makes an option to change the species, gender, and physical features of your characters once, just for year 2. I would like to make a good-looking character, and the character I want.
Would anyone else want this?

8 RepliesThis is definitely a common request from the community which is why I added it to the Community Wish List a few weeks ago. Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming.

2 RepliesHalf of the people that play this game will leave when Taken King comes out. Bungie really messed up this time.
-
I would

4 RepliesI hate the awoken female dance, its like a pole dancer or somethin
-
Ya, I absolutely hate my magic robot (aka my warlock is an exo, which makes no sense)
-
It could be like the traveler has reforged you.
-
I think they should at least make it so that hair, make-up, and markings can be changed. With Exo maybe they can change their lights colors as well.
-
Yeah, my Warlock is an awoken male with a shiny silver bowl cut and it stresses me out lmao.

Edited by Fury: 8/6/2015 6:48:51 AMNo. You can change tattoos or hair color/style but you cant change species.
-
I think they you have it set up like alot of g ames do. To where you can change what you want, when you want and how ever many times you want. To have just one chance to chang and be stuck again for a whole year again, you'll be right back to where you are right now.

This would be nice.

Edited by HonoringBarry: 8/5/2015 9:45:49 PMI can only imagine the beard and mop of hair my guardian must have after doing all those bounties, patrol missions and raids! Shave and a haircut...

Oh hey I know you!

I would be happy with being able to change my hairstyle

32 Repliesomfg bruce, we know its you. no, nobody cares about your gender beliefs or thinks your a woman cause you butchered your genitals. bungie and your time at the creation screen are like mother nature, no re-do. btw, caitlyn is such a trash white girl name, how bout you fix that before asking bungie this retarded question

3 Replieschanging features, hair, makeup, dance move etc- I can see. but to be able to change your race, s3x, or species? it wouldn't be the same guardian. you'd basically just be moving all your stats, guns and armor to a brand new guardian. that wouldn't be very fair. Become Legend. But then just move all the legendary status to a newborn?

I wouldn't mind changing things like the dance, and the wave, but I'd rather have a scroll down menu of like 10 options per character. Even then it's not a top priority, but I have randomly thought about it a few times yes

7 RepliesEdited by ash: 8/3/2015 9:31:03 AMBefore the game came out, I remember watching a (pax panel?) stream where Luke Smith was talking about features he wants to see added. He mentioned this feature, but of course it's all a matter of prioritising dev time for it. Some stuff mentioned on the panel included "helmet toggle" in social spaces, which is in the game now. I imagine a character customisation feature will be added at some point too since it's clearly on Bungie's radar and it's a universally appreciated feature. Moved to #Feedback.

Wanted this a long time ago... Then i just restarted my character
-
Yeah it would be nice to have this option, but not as a set option like it is now. I want to be able to come back into the option when i eant and change things when i want.
-
My exo looks boss but after awhile I got so tired of looking at him please let me change his look bungie.
-
Fine with changing hair and facial features but leave the gender change out of the game, no need to politicize a game. Different people have different beliefs. It's not that hard to put your stuff in the vault and make a new character anyway.
-
They said they plan on you keeping the same character through year ten. Perhaps store your armor in the vault, delete your character and rebuild.
-
Well, it took SWTOR about 2 years to add this except for sex change. Maybe it will take 4 years for Bungie seeing at how they are slow with features that were supposed to be at launch.
