I used to use dual pistols all the time for fun but now they are a bit weaker so it is harder. i killed a dude who was using a plasma rifle and smg together with a single pistol before the update came out.The updates on the grenades and the plsrfl + smg are a big help for me cuz I love using the battle rifle(It sounds exactly like the 303 rifles they use back home in Northern Ireland, but a 303 would kill you in 1 shot almost anywhere) but I used to get plowed down by dual wielders all the time.The tweaked grenades help alot for single gun users like me. I cant wait for the snow level that was mentioned a bit back.The only thing I think should have been done differently is to increase the needler power and accuracy.It used to be so much stronger in Halo CE than it is now, I havnt touched one for months cuz if the guy sidesteps all the needles miss.And lastly, im pretty sure the stats are gettin reset cuz a friend said he asked frankie and I think it says somewhere they are doin it in a few weeks. In fact it's even easier now that the grenades have been tweaked. If you want proof I can show you online, shoot me a PM.

I haven't had a problem with the AU, and I like the changes it made so far. But then I don't play just to see how high my level can get, I'm a level 12 and I'm perfectly happy there. As long as I get matches against people that can provide a fun challenge I don't care what rank I am. Lately I've been getting put up against 16-20s and it's been a blast. The bottom line is, if you're just going to b*tch day after day about the way the game is, why bother playing in the first place?

In Zanzibar this is one glitch that can really screw over an attacking or defending team! You don't have to super jump to do it.

i downloaded the patch and now it won't let me play campaign or xbox live. I am realy frustrated! Ive tried evreything whenever i go intomatchmaking it usualy says matchmaking failed or it will never go to the # 3. My campaign won't even load up. Whenever i want to start a custom game it won't even if i'm the only person in my custom game. I tried playing a split screen on xbl and it wouldn't load him into xbl. I tried seeing if the maps would load off of xbl and they still don't load and i want to play halo. I hope this is just a bug that will be fixed because this is realy frustrating me and i downloaded the update and it said it was complete. so i went on to play halo and it didn't work. Also whenever i press "y" to see what my friends are doing it takes about 5 minutes to load up and my screen always freezes. I just bought all my xbox stuff not to long ago. i'm realy confused can someone help me?

I'm specheless you just suck guys i got xbox live for just few weeks i wasnt cheating but for sure i was spending hours daily playng with my friends and glitching because its so fun and probably noone is going to say that im wrong but you have to ruin it my english is not perfect so i;m not going to wite a lot more but just say that it was a big mistake and after all that every weeks bully of how hard it is to make the update i though that you will do something good with it not to try to suck out the fun out of the multiplayer now i think i will just stop using the xbox live(good that i had 2 monts trial) and delete the freaking update from my xbox and just play on lan parties and i home a lot of peple are going to do the same

I'm very happy with the updates, the only people whining about grenades are scrubs who've only been good at duel-wielding and can't make a frag bounce where they want it to. Finally I can single-wield against duel wielders and stand a chance...it's a lot more balanced now. Now just need to fix the sniper auto-aim so using the sniper rifle actually takes skill again. It's nice when people can say things intelligently. However, I disagree. Have you even TESTED the frag grenade on system link? It is NOT a nuke. Before the patch, a frag grenade took off your shield. Now, all it does is... take off your shield :) The frag grenade is only SLIGHTLY tweaked. It does just a little bit more damage. How can this not be a good thing? I think you guys forget that dual wielding is supposed to be an EQUAL option to grenading, and it still is. The whole game has been balanced in a genius way. Dual wielding provides raw power that rips through enemies, but grenades are a powerful counter, that is and now does work just as well as dual wielding, when applied correctly. A person with a grenade and an smg should be equal to a person with two smg's, the way the game was designed. Two weapons means not that you are supposed to win, only that you are sacrificing a grenade and a melee attack for the ability to pwn quickly and without too much hassle. However, if you are not careful, you can be naded or melee'd back, it is the same as someone turning around and shooting you with the smg and plasma rifle. Only, it takes more skill to nade accurately :) Also, the magnum is not worthless. Have you tested it in a game on your own? Because of the new update, I can now run around SINGLE wielding a magnum. If I throw a well placed nade, and it makes contact, ONE magnum shot to the head will take an enemy down. That, my friend, is awesome. And also, haven't you noticed that better nades helps people not whore weapons like the sword, the plasma pistol/battle rifle combo, or the rocket launcher as much? In the original release, if I spawn on Ivory Tower with an smg, and you have a rocket launcher, what chance do I have? The game quickly degenerates into who can hold the best weapons, or in many cases, ANYTHING better than an smg, since nades were almost worthless. It's pretty ridiculous that in Ivory Tower, when a team camps the third floor with a sword, RL, and Sniper, that the whole team can throw nades up there, not get a single kill, and still get wiped out. That's absurd. That's not balanced in the slightest. But now, thanks to the update, the Rocket Launcher STILL overpowers the smg, but you at least stand a chance due to a grenade that has been tweaked to perfect, and a melee as well. People act like these things suck, but they don't get it- LEARN to use them! EVERYONE has access to these new toys that balance the game, and they should make use of them! It makes the game a much better experience, and I'm sorry you don't lik eit. I think the real problem is that noobs who ONLY dual wield are now getting a rude awakening, since they are nowhere near as good as they think they are. For months, veteran gamers and Halo-ers have been complaining that the weapons are imbalanced, and that the smg spawn is terrible- well now, they have been vindicated thanks to some great additions by Bungie. I believe we will now start to see a HUGE separation between people who are truly good at the game, and people who just know how to bullet hose a dual wielding combo.

This update is just a peice of grunt. Firstly, wtf was wrong with sword lunging? yeah i know you have a thousand reasons why YOU dont like it and your on of the creators of the game, but me and my buds loved to get ontop of levels and couldn't wait to get out of these new maps, and we had lunging wars. Sword lunging and glitching was one of the main reasons i loved Halo2 so much, other then the fact it is a kick ass game. Secondly, the plasma pistol is still a -blam!- cheap ass weapon. How many people complained about sword lunging? Compare that to how many people complained about the cheap plasma pistol/battle rifle combo? i seriously think this update messed up halo2, my day was ruined when i signed on halo2. Sure you have great things on that update, but you lied to the population when you said you would reduce the plasma pistol damage, and you pissed off a great amount of people by getting rid of sword lunging. Maybe for your next update, you could stick by your promise and fix your lie about the plasma pistol, and just maybe allow us to sword lunged, even if it goes against your moral cheif rights. for all the glitchers out there... The only thing im not happy with in this update is, i thought for sure they would have done something with the plasma pistol/battle rifle combo (newbie combo as some call it). I thought they would of done something to tone down the damage on that combo since they took away from the pistol and plasma rifle. =0( oh well atleast everything else is fixed.

Firstly, every calm down and remember... it's just a game. Albeit a very good one. Ok, two things: To the guy who asked how to remove the update from their xbox. Go to the xbox dashboard and delete all Halo2 space in memory (back up your profile and savegames first though). You will however be required to re-install the patch each time you log onto xbox live, but if you really can't stand the update then just play system link for the rest of your life. Final point is to anyone who thinks that grenades are over powered now that they do more than tickle you. Get a real-life grenade, take to an empty field and throw it. See that big bang? That's because grenades are meant to be powerful and really do hurt, it's finally added a touch of realism to the game. Thankyou for the update Bungie, I've yet to encounter any cheaters, and in-game people really seem more cheerful because they don't live in fear of Standby anymore.

I LOVE THE UPDATE!!! I thought I loved grenades before they are awsome now. I can finnally do something about people who duel wield against me before I can get a good combo. I LOVE BUNGIE!!! (now I just want maps)

hte updates are not that great..the granades are way too much the fuse is good but the xploding part..is a no the plasma and pistols being tweaked sucks... and the rocket lunge totaly needs to be put back in! it didnt do anything wrong!

of course you didnt get the maps retard because they come out april 25th this was for the glitch fixes and for lagging and dual weilding and the other stuff that bungie is refusing to tell us... Which by the way if we are the primary customers of bungie and are what is keeping the company from going piss pore why wont they tell us everything that is on this patch???
