Ash Factory is a discount Radegast Fury and Party Crasher and Matador are discount felwinters and Btrd is a discount thunder lord. Most kids that use these don't know the grind most people had to do in TDB and plain Vanilla Destiny.

I really like the BTRD, but I compare it more to the Swarm. I still prefer my Crucible Vendor bought Against All Odds over all of them though :-)

VOG forever 29 grind and materials grind are different stories... Btrd is more relatable to jolders as you'd have to be an idiot to use an exotic lmg in pvp (btrd's base stats are best in game for lmg's and has a faster ttk than jolders) Also Ash factory has almost the same exact archetype as rhadeghast, they're both tier 1's with good rolls Felwinters > all other shotguns for pvp I'm a day one player and I have every single one of these weapons with near perfect rolls minus Rhadeghast (all my IB weapons are Pre H.O.W) Stop handing out discount knowledge

I'm trying to say that kids who play now and are new don't have to grind as everything is just a discount this or that. No one even has to try now. Ever since legendaries dropped in crucible (quite frequently) everyone uses a matador or party Crasher. Many people use last word, as Xúr sold it around when HoW dropped. People use rockets like Ash factory, or tomorrow's answer (the bastard sold it). I'm saying no one has to grind anymore, as everything you used to grind for is now easily replaced by something almost identical.

Are you retarded? I'm saying anyone who uses those weapons (Btrd, ash factory, matador etc) don't have to grind ever because they drop randomly. I saw a level 32 playing iron banner with 1600 grimoire score and a last word. He buys his armor, and his weapon (from Xur) and doesn't have to grind for it or grind for materials for said armor like veteran players had to do. Just buy it or have an OP weapon drop. Want a timurs lash? Grind IB for it! (Or just have an ill will drop.)

How would one go about buying exotics, if they haven't completed a weekly event or Prison of Elders? If they did, are they more or less deserving than someone who was lucky at the end of an event?

PoE is easy and boring. You can Easily strange coins nowadays. All I'm saying is that the newer players' grind is NOTHING compared to what it was back then.

Different. I'd say it is more fun. Sure a 32 PoE doesn't have matchmaking like a 30 weekly strike - so obviously it's easier to get more coins from a single weekly strike than it is to do multiple PoE's, but earning is earning. Getting something from nightfall or raid is just luck. I guess there is still a grind - no matter which way it happens. We just have more ways to do it.
