Or even if exotic weapons had some form of perk trees like the subclass skill trees. That'd be pretty interesting.

I like that idea! Sounds interesting. How exactly would you immagine that one?

I'd say have different perk trees for different uses of a weapon. Maybe there's a path for having more range at the cost of fire rate or a different set for weapon handling. Just a variety of the sort. Maybe even some have an elemental perk tree.
