Crota's End glitch?
So me and my buds are fighting Crota on normal, and the sword keeps disappearing. We kill the Sword bearer, jump up on the rock, go invisible, get Crota down, hit him three times, blink to go invis again, then the sword disappears before I can start the next three hits. I've done this before and this has happened before, but not so consistently. I do it as fast as possible. Is this a bug, or could it be I'm just too slow?

I solo Crota 2 times a week at the very least and while iron banner has been going on this week (assuming it's something to do with that) Id kill sword bearer and jump up on to the rock, drop sword, let rip on Crota then as I went to pick up the sword again the meter fills up as though Iv picked up the sword buts it's still on the floor. If I press and keep hold of square again it picks it up which is too late as crotas already on his knees and I'm still fumbling trying to pick the sword back up :( tried going back to orbit a few times. Even tried it multiple times through the week and same thing was happening every time.

2 RepliesTurns out it was a bug. The team and I went to orbit and came back. Did it at the same pace and didn't have an issue. Side note: anyone else experience the infinite shield glitch? Does bungie plan to fix that?

Crota has always been glitchy. If you have anything weird happen, go to orbit. May also need to change hosts (everyone leave the fireteam and rejoin on someone else)

1 ReplyThe sword lasts a maximum of 30 seconds after you pick it up. You have 15 seconds to pick up the sword with no penalty. Each second after 15 will come from your "sword time." This was tested rigorously by TheLegendHimself.

You're taking too long to get up there. Once you get the sword, a countdown starts. Try killing the swordbearer close as possible to crota. So you don't waste time running across the map with it.

Honestly, I've seen some weird Crota bugs with him standing back up way too early, but I believe they reduced the amount of time the sword stays active to 1 minute, so you should already be running to the sword before the swordbearer dies, you can kill Crota on hard with one sword if you do it right. You just have to be there insanely quick.

2 RepliesYou're being way to slow with it, try higher agility and the raid boots to speed you up with the sword.
