Error Code Baboon or DDos

Recently I have been playing crucible ( Trials of Osiris) and randomly I get booted offline and Destiny gives me a error code Baboon so then my internet in the house does not work for about 10 minutes and this has been happening for a couple days now. Can anyone help me fix this Problem.

  • I know this is super old, but if anybody comes across this, it is very likely because of a DDoS. Happens to me all the time when I don't have my VPN on; never happens with VPN on. I'm kickass at Crucible so I used to have this happen all the time.

    • Hi CoreBUBBLES, Baboon error codes typically indicate that there is packet loss somewhere along the route between your console and Bungie's servers. If you're periodically receiving baboon errors and your home network disconnects at the same time it sounds like you're having intermittent connectivity issues. You may need to replace/reset your network hardware, or contact your ISP for help with intermittent disconnects. If you're using WiFi, I would also recommend temporarily switching to a wired connection. This is an import first troubleshooting step to rule out wireless signal strength/stability as a possible cause.

Hello, Baboon errors typically indicate that your connection is experiencing packet loss. Please see the Baboon help article: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11783 Are you using WiFi? If so, please try switching to a wired connection temporarily. This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out wireless signal strength/stability as a possible cause. Of course, the Network Troubleshooting Guide should also be one of your first places to look.
