If you have no authentication method the profile is gone and never accessible along with those groups if you don't have any other Admins to get nominated in your place.
-Eventually the non-accessible account will get deleted.
-You will have to make a new group and have them join that new group now sadly.
Please read the full FAQ here:

Note the quote regarding what happens when all authentications are removed:
NOTE: Data from the abandoned profile will not merge with your primary profile, only your credentials are moved. You also risk leaving no authentication method at all associated with your other profile, which means you can never access it. Make sure this is what you intend to do.
Edited by Killy_v1: 8/1/2015 3:49:14 AMSo let me get this straight: there is no way to play characters I made using my old psn id while on my new psn id. Destiny characters can't ever be accessed by any other psn than the one they were created with. Is that correct? Edit: What constitutes "data" in your quote? Also, when I attemp to unlink my authentication method I am told:
"You cannot unlink a PSN account that you are currently using to access bungie.net. To continue, please sign out, then sign in using one of your other linked accounts, and then attempt the unlink procedure."
You can't unlink an account that you're not using either, so it appears that one cannot change the account linked to the bungie.net profile without both Xbox Live and Playstation accounts linked. Is that correct?
-
no what I need is how to access an account that has nothing linked to it.

Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:03:44 PM
I unlinked my authentication method, but when I tried to link it again, it took me to the account creation screen. If you are being prompted to create a new account, you likely inadvertently started the account creation process. Sign back in with an authentication method tied to your profile, and try linking again.
Try just logging in. But IF you got another profile with no authentication method it's bye bye forever.
-
i already created another profile...
-
Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:05:05 PMThe profile is gone. When you don't have any account linked with it, Bungie will eventually delete it since you basically unlinked the PSN/Xbox account associated with it's log in. Sorry for the confusion but you basically made your account permanently inaccessible. Bungie account only work with PSN/XBLA accounts without an associate account they are not accessible.
-
how long will it take to delete? im the only admin in some groups that i'm in and I can't rejoin without admin approval...
-
Also here is what happens when you lost founder status: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12453
When you leave a Group, the "Founder" status is given to the next Admin or remaining user. To get your Founder status back, instruct the current Founder to promote you to Admin, and temporarily demote the rest of the Admins, leaving you as the only Admin. Have the current Founder leave the Group to pass the Founder status to you. You can then let them back into the Group, and promote all of your Admins again. Please note, these instructions are best done through a web browser on Bungie.net, as the Android and iOS applications currently have limited functionality for Group management.
-
yeah thanks I knew that. but i'm the only admin see, and people are telling me that accounts with no link don't even get deleted, which means noone will ever get the founder status from that dead account

Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:21:24 PMHmm. Bungie needs to clarify this. It's like a rabbit hole situation in Alice in wonderland. You've just found a issue that is not covered in Bungie's Help FAQ info.
-
Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:12:14 PMPlease update your initial post to indicate you need help getting your groups back.!
-
who can help me with that?
-
Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:17:56 PMOnly Bungie. Bungie will need to clarify this as it seems beyond the answers available in the FAQ. Hope they notice this unique issue.
-
Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:11:45 PMI don't know but it should eventually move to the next admin on the Clan. This Really Needs A Bungie.net official helper for more information. This is serious.
-
but how do I sign into the profile that has no account linked?
-
Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 10:55:03 PMIt's gone. You will have to make a new Bungie.net profile account. The information below mentions what happens when you un-link with no authentication method available.
NOTE: Data from the abandoned profile will not merge with your primary profile, only your credentials are moved. You also risk leaving no authentication method at all associated with your other profile, which means you can never access it. Make sure this is what you intend to do.
-blam!-. not even an admin or bungie help can get my account back?
-
But to get your groups back I don't know. Bungie will need to clarify.
-
I hope they can help me out
-
Unfortunately once an account has been orphaned it cannot be recovered.
-
but can anyone get me back into the groups I was previously in? i was the only admin in my clan, and it was approval only, so there's no way for this account to be let in.
-
With no other admin in the group, there is no way to gain access to the group.
-
will the orphaned account ever be deleted, automatically giving the admin status to someone else?
-
Edited by VENOM_MDK_117: 7/31/2015 11:48:15 PMOver time accounts do get deleted. Now I'm not sure if it will give control to another person in the group.
-
Edited by ZHX1138: 7/31/2015 11:34:01 PMWoe just like that? =O That means all other users from those groups will have to join a new group! Woe. Sad. Harsh and lesson learned for Wazum. Sorry Wazum. I tried my best to find solution. Next time be sure to have more then one Admin in a group that should cover your back in the future. I've updated top post reflecting your feedback.
