Why do I have gear locked
Hey idiot heads, why the hell is my trials stuff locked? If I was cheating I wouldn't have gone through 100's of -blam!-ing passage coins the last two weeks. I don't even know how to -blam!-ing cheat. This is ridiculous. One of you assholes better let me in on what the -blam!- is going on.

By the way, swearing gets you no where but into a deeper hole. Bungie doesn't discuss nor over turn bans/restrictions simple as that. Don't cheat and this won't happen.

2 RepliesYou probably paired up with teammates who WERE cheating (likely through the MTU exploit) and benefited from their cheating ways. Sorry, even indirectly cheating just by having someone else on your team do the exploit while the rest of you benefit from it is considered cheating since the entire team benefits as a whole from the connection manipulation.

It is stated on Bungie Help that if you get banned from Crucible/trials, then your crucible/trials items are also getting banned, therefore locked.

Bungie will not discuss your temporary restriction. You'll have to wait until the restriction is lifted. If your notification says you are banned, then you are banned from the Crucible forever. A couple days ago, Bungie started issuing out temporary restrictions and bans for network manipulation in the crucible. There are many people being banned also "for no reason". We'll have to wait and hear from an announcement from Bungie regarding this. I can't tell you if you cheated or not. All I'm doing is reporting what Bungie has told us.
