Does anybody actually know how they rate players via their DTR score?
I had originally assumed they rated players based on some sort of logarithmic scale, since players with a high volume of stats are rated higher, even if they are terrible. For example, a player with 50,000 kills and 55,000 deaths will most likely be rated higher than someone with 8,000 kills and 4,000 death with their silly setup.
However, now I am just flat out confused. I played against a team in doubles earlier -with a random on my team- and I went 15-1 against them. I was checking the stats, just to kind of gauge my progression in the game.
I noticed one player on their team had approximately the same amount of career kills as me (both 23k-something), but I had 7,500 less deaths, more assists, and a higher winning percentage....but he's 2,000 spots ahead of me...?
Is it based on the points scored in-game? ....because that would be really silly. That would just reward fast, sloppy players. I honestly don't even know why they record points for but not points against or net points scored, once factoring in points given to the other team. So what, if you score 4,000 points, if you turn around and give up 4,500 to the other team.
Just curious. I don't care that much...just thought it was interesting.
Thanks.

3 RepliesTrue skill also seems silly. Solo players are basically capped at 25 because it is based so much on wins, and you can't always turn around a game. Players who pub stomp like ShesMyTurd are at a massive advantage because they don't lose games due to 1-25 randoms.

2 RepliesPretty sure it's points per match so the more medals you earn the higher your dtr score
