They're probably playing for the gear, you can't blame them for that. They might get lucky enough to have a random carry them once in a while which allows them to level up iron banner and get the gear. If they're bad at pvp and don't normally play it, they probably still want a spear for pve. My pet peeve is when so many people leave games when they're losing; if I'm playing solo, half the time I get thrown into a hopeless game mid match when all my opponents have heavy and super. Edit: P.S. If you really want to win and randoms aren't cutting it, play rumble or find some friends.
