Got close to 700 hours maybe more, two weeks ago about I got my first gally on a Crota hard run after the deathsinger, my 2nd came 3 days later on a NF drop. Myself I have seen gally drop more in these areas and the VoG chest than anywhere else. Most players I think will tell you those are your best bets for gally. Raids, NF and Crucible. Dragon strikes are low drop rates for exotics, i stopped them all together. As for hopscotch, nightfalls drop purple gear all the time and in PVP. I have had 3 drop for myself.
