K/D ratio is very variable. If you are aggressive you are going to have more deaths than if you play defensively. A control point sniper that gets 3 kills the entire match without dying has a kd ratio of 3.0. However an aggressive player may get 40 kills and 40 deaths for a ratio of 1.0 but he also captured 6 points and got 30 assists.
