Why Delay Weapon Balance?
If the amount of Thorns prevailing in Iron Banner isn't a hint, you guys will never understand. Why are you delaying this weapon balance? To make TTK seem more valuable than it actually is? Your multiplayer is a joke, and you are failing, miserably.

Edit = additional thought: The nerf coming to Ice Breaker and the Blackhammer are just damn ignorant. There was no reason for those nerfs. None.

1. Because changes this sweeping require signifcant rewrites to the games' coding. 2. Most of Bungie's manpower is being dedicated to getting TTK ready to drop. 3. They probably aren't completely done with the re-balancing, and are putting the finishing touches on it. Or did you not notice that only SOME of the proposed changes were given specific values, while many others weren't? Even after these changes, there will still be stand-out weapons. All they will do---if successful---is make a wider variety of weapons competitive, and sharpen the differences in "roles" among the various weapon classes.

My guess is that they wanted to see what the response was first Then it is such a big update they will put in pieces over time instead

That information doesn't mean that the changes are out of QA yet, and they might not even be totally firmed up. It's also more advantageous for them to couple these changes with the global changes TTK will bring. I imagine there are expenses associated with pushing updates out, so it makes sense to group as much as possible into a single update and only incur those charges once.

They're changing all the weapons and releasing the update on TTK release date. But think about this. Why bother with the rebalance of exotics when they're gonna make them obsolote anyway? They're just retarded.

Also Bungie obviously decided that a ten-year project to them means to spread the content they developed over the past 5 years over 10 ten years instead of put it all in one game and build up the universe from there out over 10 years.

Dude your totally on the wrong track. Weapon balancing is probably totally ok. There is just no large open map to prove that a scout rifle can actually beat a hand cannon or an auto rifle. plus of course that's the reason.

Totally agree. There is no reason to delay the weapon fix other than they're scared of alienating all those currently abusing the op weapons before the patch. Truth is, there is no balance to pvp, weapons or classes. The statistics don't lie and we all know some classes are way easier than others in pvp.

I was actually going to make a post identical to this soon. The fact that Bungie released patch notes on balancing weapons (and then waits almost two months to actually put them in action) is absolutely ridiculous. Ever since I saw those patch notes, I swear to god I've seen more Thorns, Last Words, and Gjallys in PvE content than ever before. It's absolutely ridiculous. I've been kicked from two VoG Hard groups for deciding to use my Ice Breaker instead of my Gjally or Thorn to one shot stuff. Absolutely ridiculous.

Why are bushes bushy? Pvp is pretty much garbage no matter what guns people are using. I've always felt like its a, grab your best shit and hope people aren't cheating.

To keep testing it to try to eliminate as much oversight as possible so we don't end up right back here waiting. Delays are a good thing usually. Rushing stuff is a bad thing.
