So let's say that you have a new gf/bf and you're showing them to your friends/parents. when your friends/parents ask, "Where did you meet?" which would be worse?
1.) saying you met them on a dating site
2.) saying you met them on Bungie.net

Dating sites are for creeps, losers and crazy people... Not that this site isn't though... Just less known for such things by the general public >->

Inb4 title change
-
Yeah I would say we met somewhere else but option two is worse
-
Dating site. My parents met on the cod forums.
-
Option 1
-
Saying Bnet would be worse I'd assume. A good amount of stigma regarding dating sites have been removed over the years; however, saying that you met over a means of communication such as a gaming forum where there is more anonymity present and the information divulged by your partner could be seen as more questionable by your parents might make the conversation more awkward.
-
I would go to prison if hypothetically I met someone on bungie.net. a lot of lies on age and mostly all 13-17 yr old boys, just saying.
-
Dating website, duh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Dating site. On B.net you at least have a few things in common; 1. Video games 2. Stolen memes 3. ayy lmao
-
Dating. This is somewhat like real life. You talk to people, find out their personalities, and feelings sometimes grow from there. It'd still be awkward, do I'd probably lie and say we met somewhere in person.
-
I'd say the dating site would be worse. Traditionally dating sites are for sad losers making a last ditch effort, no one outside of b.net really knows what b.net is.

Personally, I wouldn't give a shit. And they most likely wouldn't either. Maybe a few raised eyebrows as to the unorthodox manner in which it happened. But if it was somebody I got along with really well and vice versa, then I certainly wouldn't be embarrassed to say how things worked out. If anything, I'd probably be somewhat proud that something decent came out from one of my haunts.
-
Honestly, dating site. I don't like the idea of going out of my way to find a relationship.
-
But there are no girls on bungie.net
-
-
I think at this point, it'd be more awkward to explain to anyone I know in real life how I got involved with someone sans Internet.
-
Bungie for life
I'm going with option 1
