Why TLW takes more skill than Thorn?
What's your reason I feel like the last word is more OP.

I've been using mida for about a month straight now and I can out gun a thorn user on a regular basis at every range. When I go up against TLW with mida more times than not I end up waiting to re spawn. They both needed the tweaking they got though.

Move thumbstick to over players body (no reason to aim for head), then proceed to press and hold trigger. Less than 1 second later, enemy dead

12 RepliesWith TLW you can just full auto spray people down and get glitched bonus damage while ADS. With Thorn you actually have to line up 2 headshots if you want to kill quickly. I'm really not sure why anyone thinks TLW takes skill.

Idk I suck with thorn but destroy with last word but I mainly prefer pulses.

1 ReplyHad the The Last Word drop twice and deleted the second one. I hate the weapon. Not because it OP. I still love Thorn. But because its the most awkward feeling weapon in the game. I feel like Im throwing with my left hand.

Tlw is just hold down the trigger and u get a kill. No aiming and the fastest ttk in the game. Thorn is always a 2 shot headshot but its not full auto at least lol

Thorn is OP TLW is OP. They are both as bad as each other. If there is anyone who uses TLW and attempts to argue that Thorn is more OP they are an idiot and its the same the other way.

Last word is kinda hard to aim

Typically you have to fire more shots, which can be harder than landing 2 head shots. That's just for me though

Basically, TLW you face your targets and kill. Thorn you hit and run. People just hate watching their health tic away and they can't do anything about it. I know I'd rather be melted immediately than sit and watch my health run down when there's nothing I can do to stop it. -
Crossmap 2 shots are far less likely with TLW. That and 1 shot from thorn takes you out of a fight for the duration of the burn. That's what gives thorn a slight edge in terms of being more OP.

It's like having a high impact machine gun as a primary weapon. Getting 2 hip fire headshots takes skill, but most people don't hip fire and still get the precision bonus anyway. If you get the first shot, generally the other person has no time to react, even if you're just hitting their body and not their head. It doesn't take skill to just aim in the general direction of someone and hold the button down.

TLW is more situational. You can't really hip fire with any other gun while jumping back to counter shottys.

4 RepliesLet me summarize it for you- The Last Word has a Time to Kill it 0.26. That is faster than Human reaction time. This can only be done by hitting two Hipfire Headshots or by quick scoping somebody twice. Now you may be thinking "that's insanely overpowered," but think about it. If it was Easy to get two hipfire headshots consistently, why do you see people using other guns? 0.26 seconds is insanely short. If this was easy to pull off, nobody would use any other guns. There would be nobody using Thorn, or MIDA, or Red Death. Heck even Heavy Weapons can't top that. That's because it isn't easy. It takes a lot of skill to get two Hipfire headshots. That's why thorn is used more, because it is much easier to get 2 shots with that gun. But people who are good with The Last Word... Well... [spoiler]FEAR THEM. [/spoiler]

Its just tracking the target as its moving. With 8 bullets on TLW I can't count how many times all I do is sprint to the side and people just miss all their shots in like 2 seconds. Thorn is more forgiving as its slower ROF but still does decent damage and the overall TKK for TLW and thorn 2 headshot is around the same.

Currently (imo) its worse than the Thorn, just due to the ADS glitch that still hits for bonus damage. After its patched up we can talk.

1 ReplyYou don't even have to ads with it. Best primary to complement a sniper. Shuts down shotgun users before they can get in range if they get around your snipes

Requires semi close range so more risk inherently, can't snipe across map, the main benefit is from hip firing so it's something you're not used to with any other gun, low stability, etc. that being said it's a beast but i feel way more skilled using it than when I use my thorn

Tlw is ridiculous there are insane users, getting killed after realizing your being hit when it's too late especially when trying to evade others not too mention the range on that thing
