Now how do we put this together? How do we know the Exo, as part of the cormorant fought this enemy? The honor of cormorant Titan mark. "One of the remaining sashes of the cormorant, torn in battle by a forgotten foe" is what the text reads for this item. But how does one simply forget an enemy? Well my friend, we just went over that. But what is this fifth race? What species is this fifth race? It's been hunted at very subtly by bungie so no one discovers this but myself and others believe the fifth race to be a race if jackals. We see a lot of Egyptian symbolism with the lore of the cormorant and this fifth race. The triangle ships? Pyramids. The eye weapon? The eye of Horus. And now we the trials of Osiris, we see more, the warlock helmet is a jackal. The lore states that Osiris left or was banished for, the tower because he got too close to understanding the vex. But why would he fashion armour that Davies Egyptian myth? He has witnessed the fifth race, through his understanding of the vex, he came across this forgotten enemy, the fifth race. And what's a good way to instill fear in an enemy? Wear armour shaped like them! So why not fashion a jackal helmet and wear it? Anyways I'm open to suggestion for what this fifth race's species could be, but most lore points to Egyptian myth.
Now where does this fifth race come into the game? Well I was reading a post about hoe the current 4 races are akin to the 4 horsemen (hive is pestilence/disease, cabal is war, fallen are famine, and vex are death) but when I looked into the myth of the 4 horsemen, they were the precursors to the apocalypse, the "pre show" if you will. But what could the 4 races be preceding? What could possibly symbolize an apocalypse in destiny? The same thing that broke humanity before, the jackals, the fifth race. So prepare guardians, you've been warned, you will fight an enemy that you wish you could forget.

Welcome guardians, I am eyes... This theory will touch upon Osiris, the Nine's endgame and just the general future of destiny. Interested? Of course you are! What are you doing still here? Go read the Damn theory!
So... AnonPig (lore master extraordinair) has a theory the light and darkness are essentially the same and really it's just a force, it depends on how you use it. Like star wars. On other news the Cryptarchs theory that light stays connected over space and time. You hear it in the beginning of the chamber of night. Now taking that into account that would mean the darkness stays connected over space and time as well.
Now let's leave that be for a second and move on over to Osiris. Osiris studied the 2 races most closely affiliated with the darkness, Hive and Vex. If darkness stays connected then what would they both obviously connect to? The Jackals. So, that means it is very possible that Osiris has seen the Jackals. He may have even fought them. This is further shown by the ghost fragment: Osiris card. It says that he has found a way to travel the Vex gate networks.
Now my next point: ToO has Egyptian themed gear. One of which has the head of a Jackal. Now if you remember back to the original concept art that spurred the Jackal theory, the Jackals the enemies shown on the concept art didn't show every type of soldier of every race. The Hive one didn't show anything but thrall. The Vex one showed only Goblins and a Gate Lord. The Jackal one may have only showed the Jackal troop of a whole army. An army that may have included other things like rams and, most importantly, the eye. Now let's looking at the trials gear. It shows the Jackals but also a ram and what seems to be the eye. I it possible the Jackals super weapon isn't really a weapon? It's a god. I don't know. Maybe.
This idea could be further evidenced by the similarities between the in-game enemies and the 4 riders of the apocalypse. If you don't know about this legend I suggest you look it up, though I will explain it here without great detail. The myth tells of 4 angels who would predict the apocalypse, disease, war, famine, and death. If you ever played darksiders that's where it comes from. Anyway, I'm the game there are 4 races: hive (disease), fallen (famine), Cabal (war), and vex (death). The similarities are explained more here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/117550446/0/0. The riders were there to predict the plague, or in this case, the darkness and more specifically, the jackals.
I'm sure we all have read Anon's Skolas, the prophet who warned us post. If you u haven’t go read it: .https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/136468262/0/0. Anyway, I'm about to explore what the nine's end game could be. I'm gonna go through the entire thing, or at least all I remember off the top of my head, Including my new endgame... But first. A bit more on Osiris and ttk.
I'm sure that you've all seen the ttk trailer with the strange mystery voice. If you haven't then why are you living under a rock. There's bugs and stuff down there. Go watch it! Anyway, I'm proposing that the voice was Osiris. Now I know right now you’re thinking "but we hear Osiris in the sword of crota mission and they sound different." yeah. I know. But considering what he's been through. He's gonna sound a little different. Have you actually listened to him talk in both? Side by side. I have. One sounds like a gruffer version of the other.
So moving on, here is the nine's possible plan
1) get Osiris to study the Hive and Vex
2) supply us with exotics and have us kill crota to get the interest of Oryx.
3) release Skolas knowing that he would go to the Vex and see into the future and predict Oryx.
3.5) have us kill Skolas using our weapons so he is out of their hair.
4) have Oryx show up and supply us with exotics in order to kill Oryx
4.5) have the Queen, Eris, Osiris and... Wait for it... The Exo Stranger trust us enough so that everyone gets together. Why the Exo Stranger. Because we've proved ourselves. Because she is sure we're ready to fight the stronger beasts. The Jackals. Now, I'm sure you’re yelling at the screen about the other expansions coming to destiny... It's a 10 year game after all. Ya I know about those. In them we could... find out what the Cabal are running from (the Jackals)...
get Vex tech that allows us to travel to wherever the Jackals are.
Join forces with various people (see below). And slowly get stronger and stronger.
5) have us fight the Jackals, kill the eye, and have us re-awaken the traveler.
6) along the way we may ally with...
A) the Fallen
B) the Cabal
C) Rasputin
If that happens then it's us, the Awoken, the Cabal, the Fallen, the Nine, and Rasputin
Vs.
The Hive, the Vex, and the Jackals.
Think about how crazy this would be...
That is it guardians. That is the war the FWC saw. The war the new monarchy wants to prepare for, the war dead orbit wants to run from.
Anyway, thanks for reading the post. I'll see you next time and try not to get washed away by the flood. In the mean time...
-eyes out.

Hey guardians, eyes here. This post is gonna cover our elusive friend who never has time to explain., the stranger as well as... Wait for it... The FWC (the best faction). Now I know there are some theories on how she might be working with praedyth,, I'm not really gonna go into that much. I'm gonna go into who she is.
If you listen to the gunsmith then you will hear say a few interesting things...
"What was the name of that officer? Only I remember her, and so little. How her rifle jammed, then gone."
"What was her name. Fierce eyes, full of light. The hell was it."
"Best Exo I ever served under up and vanished one night. That's war."
Now a few facts to back this up.
1) the stranger is a girl, she could be the officer that banshee refers to
2) the stranger can disappear at will, again. Banshee says that she disappeared, with her that could be possible.
3) she has a very temperamental looking weapon, it definitely could have been jamming, but now it doesn't... Leading to my next point
4) if we look at the gunsmith in game description it reads "there are few guns he has not seen, even fewer he can't fix" this shows he could have fixed the strangers weapon
5) the stranger's grimore card (not the ghost fragment) says that some believe she is the last of an exo squadron, fighting a long forgotten war.
6) the stranger is fighting the vex (will be used later)
7) the stranger answers to sign mystery person (also will be used later)
Cmon. A long forgotten war! This is referenced again and again in reference to the exo-jackal war.
Now, I've read the stranger's ghost fragment a few times, and I'm not sure exactly what it means. My original theory was it was talking about her dream. But the dream is supposed to illustrate the exo getting to the tower. No. Thats not what it is... It really reminds me of a bit of FWC lore, the device!
Now I'm gonna throw in a bit on the FWC, which is my favorite type of lore. Anyway...

Edited by WrinklyRobin13: 8/1/2015 11:57:27 PMAbout the eye, I always assumed it referred to something like a basilisk, which I'm pretty sure they had a representation of in Egyptian mythology, and since the art teased a lot of majors(early versions of walkers, gate lords...etc.) the jackal may be related to a gate lord, and may be a one of a kind enemy, due to the fact that a god in Egyptian mythology is a jackal, and the triangles may be ships, like the drop pods they teased... Or a swarm of smaller enemies, which is unlikely, due to the fact that it isn't part of Egyptian mythology... On another note, the space station may be in a concept art, there is a broken apart ship orbiting Jupiter or Saturn.

The four horsemen don't come from a game it's biblical haha

Edited by BloodyAlien243: 7/28/2015 11:02:39 PMNah I bet that concept art of enemies in destiny was again concept art. Ideas were changed and if all are going to be in the game, the yellow one is the darkness, or are the taken. The taken were originally going to come in the pyramid ships and are consumed by darkness. Or maybe they are entirely different. Maybe the speaker is apart of them, since a figure has a white hooded face, or maybe he is a part if the darkness?

Wait... what's this thing on the road... it looks like a small hill... it's a... it's a... BUMP!
