Halo as a series is very overrated. 2 is really the only one I would have on a must play list.

Halo 1 was amazing for it's time and halo 3s custom games were amazing and allowed me to waste hours on end. Destiny doesn't have much replay value or story, it's just an endless grind.

Definitely not that much. I would say Halo 2 is a 94/100 and Destiny is a 82/100, but it's still making steps to grow. We are talking about sagas though so the brilliance of Halo 2 doesn't make up for all the terrible mistakes that franchise has made after it turned. Microsoft has milked their cow dry but is still selling what comes out of the cow. At least the Sonic games try new things lol.
