Food for thought. Some of these issues have large affects on each other. So maybe if education is a big issue to you, consider whats holding it back.

Education The U.S. needs to start modernizing and improving upon the school days. A more educated society usually will fix the other issues (not always). We could always cut some of our Defense funding and put that towards education.
