Wanting to leave xbox and switch to PlayStation
I would like to know if there is an option to pay a nominal fee to have my characters swapped from xbox to PlayStation all of my real life friends are on PlayStation and I have made far too much progress to start again. Please help. I know that I would have to repurchase the game and expansions on the other console that's fine, I just want my characters moved to psn from xbox live.

8 RepliesHello, Destiny does not have nor support cross platform transfer so you are only able to transfer from Xbox 360 <---> Xbox One and PS3 <----> PS4 Your guardian is linked to the account it was made on, so you cannot transfer it. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12219

My advice is get the PS4 to play with your friends even if you have to start over.It would be worth if in the long run to have your friendship team. Keep the XBox if you want to continue play your current characters when your not playing with your friends.

Don't switch to PlayStation 4, unless you're going to get the digital download of all of your games. Because it's really bad about ejecting the game disc when ever it wants to, like in the middle of a raid or something like that. This is the exact reason I'm going to switch form.ps4 to Xbox one.

5 RepliesI wouldn't. PS3/PS4 has mass cheating going on. People are manipulating their MTU so that they become invincible and lag. Bungie has done nothing because they can't.

3 RepliesBungie does not allow for cross family transfers. Period. This is due to the exclusivity contracts with Sony and due to the fact that both Microsoft and Sony do NOT want transferrable characters between systems. Microsoft wants you to stay on XBOX and Sony wants you to stay on Playstation. The only game that allowed such a thing to occur was GTA, and if you look at the restrictions for completing this transfer, you can see how stringent they are about it. Essentially the back end of your characters are just a table in a database which would lead one to believe it should be an easy transfer. But the problem lies in the way that table then is linked to the other portions of the code that make that nigh impossible ... or at least extremely difficult along with requiring massive amounts of coding on Bungie's part (which will not happen).
