Can we get some good video evidence of unflinching on a sniper?
All I keep hearing is it does nothing when it was previously thought to be one of the best sniper perks. I have a her benevolence with hidden hand and unflinching so I was wondering if I should keep? If not what are good alt perks? Also is it true the shortgaze SLH has the best aim assist of scopes. Enraged cinema said this but it doesn't specify target acquisition on that description which is strange cuz other scopes say "superb target acquisition" but they're long range scopes

So came across this on planet destiny in there recent reforging guide for iron banner. http://planetdestiny.com/iron-banner-roll-guide/ "This reduces the effect of incoming damage on your accuracy. The overall effect is a 33% reduction on incoming flinch damage which has a positive effect on your accuracy, though the exact benefit can vary considerably depending on how much incoming damage you’re taking." So 33% reduction in flinch is not "unflinching." And i think that is the problem. It's a small reduction in flinch but with a sniper rifle it's not remotely enough to make a difference. And i think that is the problem we are all having. Plus i came from COD where the perk that makes you not flinch literally makes you not flinch when hit. Sadly unflinching doesn't work like that though it should. So for me, and i have it on two snipers, it's pretty much a wasted perk because if someone hits you with a bullet even with 33% reduction you're gonna flinch and the crosshairs are no longer on the target. I'm guessing this is a perk that is just way way underpowered. It should be 100% reduction in flinching. At the very least it should be renamed if it remains the same lol.

7 RepliesEdited by TBM: 7/28/2015 7:19:51 AMShortgaze10+hidden hand are the only absolutely necessary perks on a benevolence. Snap shot or hand laid stock are great to have, and performance bonus is probably the best 2nd perk but all 2nd tier perks are pretty much garb.

I mean the scope flinched all the way tongue sky. I flinch all the time when shot I expect to not flinch at all since it's called "unflinching."

1 ReplyI've got unflinching of one of mine.. And if it does make a difference it's not a noticeable one.. I scope still goes all over the place lol

2 RepliesLongview and hawkeye have higher AA value but shortgaze is preferred by most players because of the size of the majority of crucible maps... Having too much zoom is more of a hindrance than the boost in AA. Of the two low zoom scopes, Ambush and Shortgaze, Shortgaze has higher AA. Do a service to the world and listen to anyone but Prod for advice.

1 ReplyI have snipers with and without it. I notice a difference, it's just not a massive difference but it helps. If it removed flench all together or drastically reduced it then snipers would be way too OP.
