It hardly has any aim assist. You can put a bullet on the left side of their head with ldr and not get a crit. Use her benevolence or shadow of veils and you can put a shot on their chest and get a crit.

Aim assist works drifter entry on snipers and shadow of veils has the same AA as LDR. The aim assist on a sniper simply means your reticle slows down more when it passes an enemy.
