I've played a few matches in the past but never really took it seriously or cared about leveling up my rank. I've been playing a lot of Crucible lately so this time around, I may actually grind it out (especially since I really don't have anything else to do in the game).
What are some tips you can offer me? Suggested load outs? I main a Voidwalker and have pretty much every exotic armor piece and weapon.
Thanks in advance!

Only defend 2 objectives and never triple cap. Only triple cap if you know your going to win.

Its easy to get multiple characters to rank 5 if you can stand the ridiculous amount of lag and connection issues. The last one between the crap rewards and lag made it unplayable.

1 ReplyEdited by TehPwnShow: 7/28/2015 3:50:36 PMJudging by your stats youre pretty good so yeah no reason why you shouldn't play it. This might be obvious but you definitely want to play with a team. Trust me don't try it solo. Use recruitment on this app if need be. Any team is better than no team

Just treat it like regular control. Honesty not a single difference unless you're a low level. Don't over think it, it's not hard.

I would love an inferno iron banner ..

7 RepliesQuick question: Mia iron banner coming on Tuesday (tomorrow)?
-
The tempered buff is a must. And bounties bounties bounties.
-
There'll be lag, lots of Thorns and TLW. Get into a fireteam of 6 :D it enhances the experience.
-
Haha, I'm in the exact same boat. Bored to tears of pve, so I've been playing a lot of crucible, which I've pretty much ignored completely until recently. I would love to grab a few iron banana weapons this week!
-
Be patient, use Thorn

1.Buy ALL the bounties 2. Equip shader and Emblem (XP buff) 3. Buy the buff everyday 4. ?? 5. Profit
-
Back when I started (January) IB was easy to solo to rank 5. Now it's a lot tougher since 90% will be running Thorn. Tips: Run with a fireteam, hold flags and don't flip the spawns unless you're at a disadvantage.

Prepare to put up with unjustifiable lag :)
-
Just play like you would usually. For someone who's really bad at Crucible, I ranked my Hunter to 5 in 4-5 days, and my Warlock and Titan to 4 at the same time. Take your time with it, don't lose your cool when you get many loses in a row.

use thorn
-
Also for the machine gun bounty my advice is hang back until all the rockets are cleared then start being a janitor and clean up :)

Edited by Kanye West: 7/27/2015 4:08:58 PMJust like regular crucible, use the thorn or last word.

Check out my build of my void walker it works extremely well for me

My advice is simple.
prepare your anus
4 RepliesFire team only never try it solo. A fireteam is the best weapon in IB.

5 RepliesAlways go for B ;) if you want to succeed, main a hunter w/ blink/arcbolt grenade/lucky raspberry/exotic hand cannon of your choice/felwinter's lie/Jolder's Hammer. Insta-win. Biggest douche of them all award but it's rewarding for victories. If you must main a Warlock, and if you have the Ram, equip that and then whatever gives you high intellect and discipline. I like the Axion Bolt grenade. Get the IB emblem/shader ASAP as it gives you extra experience. Blink while you can because everybody else will be doing it. Oh and watch out for the shoulder charges :)

Screw self res if u go subsibger go with radiant skin wear the robes that reduce rqdiance cool down more. For voidwalker the perks to split nova into 3 and track enemies are great. The robes that boost axion grenade is great I like the red death and shotgun setup for my warlock you can crush at mid and ahort range.. and these maps are mostly mid and short range

6 RepliesTake your time, don't rush into gunfights, use your environment wisely (meaning use cover), and don't take an underleveled character or underleveled weapons in with you. Advantages are enabled, so you probably don't want to take that rare auto rifle on your level 23 toon into the event. Take an MG with you, take a decent sniper and shotty with you. Stay near heavy/special spawns when the time is coming. TAKE EVERY BOUNTY! The 10KS bounty isn't as scary as it looks and will be completed easily as long as you don't try for it. Plus, assists count towards it, so sit back, and plink away at people. Bounties will be your primary source of Rep. Wins won't give a lot (not until later this week). Focus on a single character until you get to rank 5. There is a rep buff that your lower level characters will gain, and it's a big one. If you don't already have them, purchase and equip the IB items for more rep buffs (shader, emblem, class item) and purchase Tempering at the beginning of your play session. Do this for each of your characters. Most important tip! DON'T GET FRUSTRATED! People go tryhard in these events. You will see the "OP" guns frequently.

Edited by Ronin Tanuki: 7/27/2015 3:43:37 PMIf you want to play a warlock, try running sunsinger. Firebolt grenade, Touch of Flame and Viking Funeral. Wear the ram and use Radiant Skin. Max armor and recovery. Profit. Edit Oh, and, of course, abuse the hell out of a TLW, Thorn, and Felwinter's Lie (or a like shotgun).
-
Pretty sure you won't gain reputation if you're being beaten by teams all the time. That's the reason I don't do it. Seen enough of it in regular control.

Like the guy below said, do the bounties and then do it on your other characters, you can def keep playing if it hasn't worn you out, but it's better to rotate. Also the higher the weapons and your level is the better, otherwise you are gonna get creamed because of level disadvantage
