Opinions can be wrong when you post completely incorrect statements.
The timed exclusive content in Destiny has been paid for by Sony.
"Nintendo do it all the time". No, they don't. Nintendo's exclusive games are pretty much all published by Nintendo. They're exclusive, because Nintendo own the studios that created them or they paid the development costs. This has absolutely nothing to do with third party developers/publishers doing deals with Sony/Microsoft for (timed) exclusive content.
Whether this marketing strategy encourages you as an individual is irrelevant. Would these big publishers put down millions of dollars to get exclusive content from third party games if their was no monetary incentive to do so? Of course not. They're doing it, because it does encourage some people to buy their console.
If you don't support the practice and believe it's immoral, it's best to show that with your wallet. It is your decision to purchase the product when you know that this deal is in place.

Still, Bungie or Sony sure as hell arnt giving that shit away for free, Xbox users paid for it with the game and map packs.

Edited by krachen: 7/27/2015 5:45:39 AMUsers are not paying for it. It was part of the game. Sony gave extra money to have it exclusive to their player base for the first year as a thanks for playing or better yet, a marketing ploy to get people to buy a PS over an Xbox.

Ok, hold up. You just contradicted yourself. You said that it was part of the game. The game that all platforms paid the same amount for, meaning that we paid for the content and are not receiving it for a year.

Just like Xbox paid for exclusive content for CoD map packs for 30 days. Playstation just ponied up more money and let Bungie help design the PS4.
