A guy on youtube got an LDR 5001 from a blue engram after HoW dropped...!

Have you ever gone to the cryptarch an you have 2 separate sets of engrams, like you might have 1 or 2 blue and then another screen comes up with more engrams you have...? Well if this has ever happened to you then the first set of engrams are from previous game to HoW...! These engrams are the ones that have a small chance to become pre HoW gear, you know them when you get them because the description will be the opposite way around the the blue and purple HoW engrams...!

4 RepliesDon't even bother grinding for it in ROC strikes shadow of veils is just as good. I've got one and I feel it's interchangeable with shadow of viels.

Well you have the grind for the chance of special engram, and still need a chance of something legendary, and still need a chance that it's a sniper, and still need a chance that's it's decent. Too many factors.

Like others have said, you might have a tiny % chance of getting one from engrams if you grind the right vanguard strikes, but personally i wouldnt bother. I have a decent longbow that is my go-to sniper, i also 2 benevolence snipers (and lots of others), and while i use my longbow, if i didnt have it i would NOT grind strikes hoping for a longbow. The chances are probably too small and the difference in snipers is not worth it. Get a benevolence sniper (or shadow of veils o other decent sniper), get a good roll, level up and enjoy

23 RepliesSorry but it's not attainable anymore for all we know. Your best bet would be Eris Quests if you haven't completed them yet. Some people say you can get TDB weapons from Vangaurd Roc but I can confirm that is not true.
