More or less, you get Adept primaries which have elemental damage. + Grimoire card

Elements make all the difference. The Scholar (Adept) has the highest damage per round especially on a nightfall or weekly with the correct burn. Mines solar and unfortunately is outclasses by The Vision of Confluence, but still wrecks hard with its speed reload after a kill.
