Do you remember when we could shoot through walls??
Way back when Destiny first launched, the perk known as "armor piercing rounds" did much more than allow bullets to travel through enemies. It would also allow players to shoot through thin objects.
To me, that added to the game. Now its a mechanic in the game thats just completely unused..
Anyone have an awesome kill through a wall back in the day?

1 ReplyIt's still a thing, it's penetration rating is just now really low. The bulk of cover and walls in this game are actually pretty damn thick. I do remember though getting a headshot through the glass in that one moon map no longer available in matchmaking. Through the windows where the B flag was. It was quite satisfying.

If by thin objects you mean 12 foot thick partitions in crucible. Yeah, glad that was finally addressed.

Twilight gap, B capture enemy standing behind the grates. Inb4 my supremacy armour piercing round through the gate and into the poor guys skull lol

Yeah... In fact I remember the vendor LDR coming with unflinching, ambush and AP rounds. Kinda what brought the LDR to both fame and infamy.

haha ya in twilight gap you could stand on the rail way and pick people that were capping by looking through that grating while they couldn't hit you back.

I still get shot in PVP by impossible shots all the time even by guns without AP. I was guessing it was just my guns were broken and wouldn't do it anymore or there is some crazy bullet slinging lag going on. Wait what that guy just shot me and killed me through the building and the floor with a thorn? How? That kind of stuff all the time and it seems to be getting worse.
