Lighthouse rewards: is it worth it?
Is the 9 wins against sweaty tryhards in a row worth the elemental primary and the slight chance of an exotic? You can just buy the weapons from Vance with no element, and I don't think the element is worth it.

They're PvP weapons. If you want primed for PvP weapons go for it. Otherwise, they're not much worth in PvE unless you get a void roll primary.

No I don't think it is. Seeming how all 3 times I went 1 time I got something worth the while. Void Scholar and Purifier Robes out of the chest

If you're into the lore the zone is absolutely stunning and great to explore. You can still get some good random drops just by playing but if you're not into it then you don't need to strain yourself.

Personally I would rather have the adept versions just for collecting sake, also saying as i slacked on scout/pulse rifle kills the burn makes the weapons alot easier to kill certain enemies. The etheric light are useful to a point.. Even upgraded my atheons epilogue and use it in trials on lower teams. Got Ghorn from the mercury chest last time so the chance of an exotic is also a good reason to do it.

Edited by zI INFINITY Iz: 7/27/2015 12:19:57 PMIt was worth it the first few weeks. It was new, fun, it was actually interesting to see somebody with a certain kind of adept version of a gun. For me the fun ended after I got all the ToO gear, so 4 weeks. You get the flawless emblems for all your characters, all the armor, the interesting guns and that's it. I already had al elemental types covered with my weapon collection. Only thing I like is the void scholar I got as my first ToO reward. Solar handcannon dropped from Skolas, so yeah. The VoC was and is the best solar primary anyway. But the void scholar is nice instead of the Word of Crota.

Yea I think it is! Went flawless for the first time this weekend and got myself a void scholar so dead happy with that. and a suros. But if you couple that with all the packages you get as well thats alot of gear.

Void Scholar/Void Jewel/Solar Jewel are worth it. The rest is useless. I need the scholar tho. I'm going flawless in hopes to get it and for the extra etheric light (we may be able to trade them for rep like commendations)

If you get the one elemental primary it can be nice, I was lucky to get a void The Messenger, but other than that it's not. Too much BS in the trials I personally refuse to play it anymore.

compared to the PoE weapons, lighthouse weapons are amazing, but keep in mind that the lighthouse weapons are built around PVP. they will still perform well in PvE but if you don't enjoy pvp, they won't feel as useful as say the fatebringer of VoC.

I have not done ToO myself, but I just don't see the point. I don't like the looks of any of the gear. I don't really feel like being teabagged by a guy that is exploiting a gun or his connection. I also don't really care for any of the guns that I have seen from it. I only need Obsidian Mind and Thunderlord and I have everything I want out of this game and I can get those by simply playing PvE. [b][u]TL;DR[/u][/b] No. To me it is simply not worth it.

2 RepliesAbsolutely. They look amazing, perform well above most other gear, and come with some nice bragging rights. And, as an almost exclusively PvE player, having Elemental Primaries from top-tier [i]Crucible[/i] weapons just feels nice. XD

Been to the lighthouse a number of times. I'd say it was only worthwhile the first time, but I enjoy playing trials so I continue to do so. Most weeks I end up not going

Unfortunately, no it's not. I get better loot from the 6th package from Vance, instead of the Lighthouse.

2 RepliesHaha this is a great question. I finally got my first flawless last night! Am i happy--you bet. But was it worth it? I got a void jewel adept, an etheric, and the emblem. Dunno if I care for the jewel that much.. I was a little underwhelmed by it. Not a big deal
