I'm back in Pandora, even after having spent 1123 hours there on the 360 and there's 1 thing, 1 difference that makes Borderlands fundamentally better than Destiny, that's freedom.
You see Destiny is all about restricting and controlling you as a player whereas Borderlands is about letting you loose, you feel free in Pandora, free to loot bosses more than once a week, free to jump in and out of either random or friend based match making if you wish, free to re start the adventure on a higher difficulty, not grind the same patrols, the same level 3 Dregs and Goblins over and over until your packages bleed Motes of -blam!-ing light!
borderlands paved the way, Destiny promised to re surface the road that Borderlands etched but it didn't.
I love destiny, (over 900 hours here, ish) just like a lot of you and will continue playing but unless it takes a long hard look at what borderlands has done, it'll forever be in its shadow, and the Borderlands 3 will come out and I fear for Destiny!
