Why do people hate the Hayabusa Armor?
I have it and i think it looks cool but I also think it has been over used and overated
What do you think??

Why do people hate anything? Typically fear, but in the case of the Bungie forums, people cannot simply "not like" something (for the most part), they seem to have to hate it. You can't just have a preference here, you either are or aren't, pro or noob, AR or BR, on and on and on. It's actually kind of funny the kinds of generalizations that are made because of an armor and weapon preference. Almost like some new type of prejudism.

To me, it represents what the halo series has become. Back when pointing and shooting was fun, before the game tried so hard to appeal to everyone. Now you have so many different things that are purely aesthetic (the flies bottom green on guardian... lol), new devices that completely rap3 the core gameplay, and an entirely new generation that tries to force their style of gameplay on everyone else... shunning what others find fun and entertaining. Now we have these huge groups constantly bickering towards each other (Ar vs. Br., MLG vs default... etc.). I just miss the days where looks didn't matter, where everyone was on the same level playing field. Good times....

Hayabusa will always be known to me as "Ryan Seacrest Armor" because I think that it makes the user seem effeminate.

Because its overused and its not that worthy anymore. After Halo 3 ODST comes out, this so called POS Recon is going to be the next hayabusa by the noobs. [Edited on 04.02.2009 2:32 PM PDT]

It's just so overused. I see people with it ALL the time. And once H3: ODST comes out, Recon will be the new Hayabusa.

I think it's overused also, but I like my hayabusa shoulders. I have the helmet but I prefer the Mark V.

Are you on crack? Ninja Gaiden 2 on normal is like trying to do a triple backflip while headshotting a guy with no head. Don't get me started on the harder difficulties. Sorry, was supposed to be a response to someones post on how hard Ninja Gaiden is. Just in case my post confused anyone. [Edited on 03.17.2009 6:35 PM PDT]

Because its overused and a lot of squeaky kids use it because they think it looks "HaRdCoR3!!!!!"

I prefer Security. And most of the people who tout themselves because of Katana tend to wear Hayabusa because it looks more normal.

Because people love to hate what's popular so that they can be different, when in reality they're joining the majority in hating this popular thing. It's all kind of ironic. Like what you like and don't be swayed by the "majority".

Me and alot of other people think that it is over used, it main flaw is that the helm is mostly white all the time

Hayabusa is over-used, simply put. People think it looks amazing, then people really started to get a good look at the armor (every time you played matchmaking) and they realized that it was simply over-used. Now the community has taken it and made it into a stigma of young kids and bad players. Which is exactly what I said- a stigma, not at all proven. Regardless, I don't wear it myself because I like other variants better. I might've worn the Katana or Hayabusa chestpiece if the actual collar didn't go so high that it melded in with my favorite helmet, the ODST helmet. I just thought it looked poor, and I made the chestpiece Mark VI- the best, in my opinion.
