REVEALED: Defeating Regret on Mythic Skull... (page 2) VIDEO: on page 4.
Holy BLAM!!
I have done it, at long last! I defeated the Prophet of regret! I challenge you folks to beat the Prophet of Regret with the Mythic, Thunderstorm, Cowbell and Angry Skull difficulty! Just as I have.
It is so awesome!
I can’t contain the excitement, simply because -- I’ll get to it later.
I shall tell you folks of the method to defeating him, once I hear that some of you folks have tackled him with the acquired skulls above.

The folks at Bungie are true geniuses’, man! I praise thee Bungie, with my hands and knees on the floor.
This game truly requires skills and the grey stuff upstairs. One is forced to act and think like Master Chief himself.

Everyone has a life, we all just play it out differently, which is why I refrain myself from using such offensive slander as "get a life". At any rate, I’ll also refrain from telling you otherwise of my life. This forum is about Halo 2 and not of our life. So perhaps if there is a forum to describe our everyday mundane routine work and so forth, I’d post my stories there, but to be perfectly honest I don’t think it’d be a very popular forum. I’m sure you’d agree. Just my thoughts.

I understand that it must've been "difficult" to kill regret, but i don't see the point in creating a thread about it. I mean...it's cool that you did it so give yourself a pat on the back. The only real point in creating a thread like this would be to give people some idea on how to beat him. You acquire the Mythic Skull to up the difficulty level, thus making the game harder and more challenging than it would otherwise be on the simple Legendary Difficulty. With this Mythic Skull he is extremely hard to defeat. If you don’t understand about the skulls, you should check out Tom Race’s 'Legendary Walkthrough/FAQ' at [url=http://www.gamefaqs.com/] www.gameFAQs.com[/url], he has a simple explanation about skulls and their effects. Or are you assuming that since you beat him on Legendary (which is very, very easy, by the way when compared to the Mythic difficulty) that you can beat him on any difficulty? I hope you understand how miles apart the Regret on Legendary is compared to the real Regret on the Mythic difficulty. It takes six jumps boarding on his throne to defeat him, with five melee attacks per jump or boarding. On the Mythic difficulty it takes FAR MORE than six jumps to finish him off. Far more. This is one of the reasons why I don’t want to disclose how I beat him, with no cheats or glitches, just by using your head. Because people who have no idea how hard he really is, are just going to assume that he is not much harder to defeat from the legendary difficulty. How wrong they are. I could see how beating the WHOLE game with the Mythic skull would need a walkthrough, but beating Regret on any difficulty (for me anyway) is quite easy...

Ghost, i am not disagreeing with you, it is just that you say that you want people to try before you reveal how to do it, but by the time they get the required skulls, without turning of their Xbox, and complete Regret, it will be a long time....it may even take some time to get the required time to do what you ask...all i am saying is, you seem to be very proud...which you should well be, and you seem to want to tell people, but as you say, u want them to see how hard it is for themselves, but it will take some time for other people to complete it, so be prepared t okeep your way secret for some time.

It took me so many frustrating hours to work this one out, and I don’t play for more than an hour at a sitting, due to my schedule. So therefore I want you and everyone else to experience the Mythic difficulty first hand. I hope you can understand me on this, and yes you are right, by keeping this from some of you for a short while, thus delaying the revelation of my method makes me look like an a$$. It’s something I don’t want to think about, for now, as I would like everyone to experience this difficulty on their own, which is very cleverly programmed and thought out.

All i can figure out is that you beat the Prophet of Regret witha skull...... I can beat him with a dead energy sword Just gotta whack him with it and eventually he will die........took me about 2 hrs too do it
