What sensitivity do the Elite use?

Title says it all. Do the top tier players typically run high sensitivity or low? I feel like they both have their advantages and disadvantages.

  • 1.7 KD, with 4 sen. HOWEVER, When i run solo skirmish or clash, my avg is between 2.5 and 4.0. Why? Because I play competing skirmish, but when i go play against the general masses, it's like a wolf in a chicken coup.

  • I would say I'm an average player, 2.0 kd in trials, and I play on 10 sensitivity, I also snipe the majority of the time.

    • I don't get y ppl change sensitivity for different guns....is it really that hard to hold ur thumb steady .....this game doesn't seem to handle speed too well...I play titanfall mostly and it does feel very slow in comparison

    • 10, and even 10 feels a bit slow. Call of Duty sensitivity was at least triple the speed of Destiny and that's what I got used to. If someone is running up behind you, there is not way you could expect to utilize a quick reaction time with a 4 sensitivity lol if you think 10 is too fast, I recommend practicing in increments to get used to it.

    • I have a buddy that's hella (and I mean HELLA) good in pvp, he has it on 10. I tried 10 and it was horrible, I set it to 5 and have kept it there since, and has severely helped in pvp from a 3. Not too fast, not too slow. I suppose if I develop a coke addiction I could manage 10 effectively.

      • I never change sensitivity and other stuff in options at any game. It is much faster to learn to play with default settings. Also on destiny weapon controls and handling are very cool.

        • I am no pro but I would think it depends on your game style. I keep it at 7 because I melee/shotgun a lot and I need to be able to turn quickly. Somebody that does a lot more precision shots would probably like it rather low (because the gun jumps like crazy while you are trying to ADS quickly)....

          • I can do some pretty impressive stuff in crucible, and I run with 3 sensitivity. Most of the time I'm looking in the right direction, so I don't need to turn too fast ;)

          • I run 4-6 sensitivity depending on what weapon i use, since each weapon type handles differently. For hand cannons, scout rifles, and pulse rifles i do 4 usually since getting that crit hit is the primary reason for using them due to modifiers. Auto rifles you can be a bit more sloppy with due to how they function, which i use 6 and maybe 7 on. However note theirs a factor you need to consider. Running a higher sensitivity will make your finger movements more precise and "twitchy". I use to play a lot of CoD, and believe me, 10 sensitivity in Destiny is comparable to a 5 in CoD. I tend to run 8 in CoD, even higher if i drink an energy drink. Destiny is a bit different because you aren't just happy with leg, waste, and body shots so accuracy is much better to have than a faster twitch movement. Hence why i run 4-6 in destiny despite what i use in CoD, which is obvious after looking at kill times and what you aim for. In conclusion, it is fair to say that for Destiny in PvE or PvP a lower sensitivity around 4-5 will get you much farther than say going at 9 will.

            • Don't think destiny has "pros" but I do max sensitivity on every game I play. Reason for this is, no matter what sensitivity you use you will eventually get use to it. Whether it's 1 or 10 no matter what you will adjust and play normal. Well when you're done adjusting I rather be able to aim fast than slow. Yes if you go down you're aim will be better but that's temporary, just like going up, you will have a hard time but that's temporary too.

            • A higher controller sensitivity may also give you a more responsive and faster firing weapon.

            • Low sense. Im a pro I run on 4. Kjhovey is on 3 I think. No need to jack it up all the way to 8.
