Prophets "Great Journey" need opinions!
I set this up for peoples own opinions. Do you think the Prophets knew that the "Great Journey" was to make a better place after activating halo or did they know that halo would wipe them out, but they think its the only way to die to get to their "heaven". If they didn't know it would wipe them out then found out later do you think they still would have tried to do it? Not only that, but what of the Covenant? Do they know that halo would wipe them out or do they know the consequences and accept it? If they found out the consequences what do you think would happen. I mean a little tiff of control between the elites and brutes caused the Covenant to split right down the middle. Think of the catastrophy if the Covenant found out this without knowing the truth or the truth the so called "Prophets" told them. Pretty much what I said here is my opinion and I would really like yours. What do you think the situation is up in the Covenants stronghold?

Plus at the elevator just throw a frag grenade when you hear them coming at the red sign on the floor, should take most of them out

i think that the prohits werenet sure wut it would do but they thought it would do somehtin great the elites found out wat it would do adn the grunts and hunters beleived them the arbiter told tarterurs but he didnt beleive it

have you noticed that drones hold plasma grenades when they dont throw 'em? Think how much harder it would be on legendary if they did. Especially the first level when like 12 of 'em come from that elevator thing.

Grunt: the grunt of the military all there names mean something.

thats another thing that could have happened, maybe truth was smart and knew the covenant would disband if they knew the "truth" and thought it was for their own good.

i believe truth knew exactly what would happen. he just told mercy and regret to tell the whole covenant. notice how in the Arbiter cutscene after metropolis truth turns off the heretics voice right when he says "The Great Journey is..." i wonder why.

which means they knew that the ring would kill them or that it would just make a better place for the "worthy"

i think that the prophets believed that the halo rings would begin the "great journey" and that a divine wind would propell all who are worthy along the path to salvation. that's what they believe
