I was thinking about this earlier, at this point in time I'm less than interested in skolas and house of judgement weapons because they hold no advantage over previous "raid" weapons. If the weapon progression had halted at each dlc then people would want a void aegis of the kell with shank burn because of the burn and 365. The rubbish perk wouldn't matter, like the word of crota precision perk wasn't good but it was a 331 void primary so it was coveted. The ascension model basically removed the need to do a 35 PoE because the rewards weren't needed. The sole reason to beat skolas is for bragging rights not the weapons. Maybe removing the ability to ascend weapons beyond now will make the taken king refreshing and the rewards relevant again. Saying that I would be gutted if exotics were to be "frozen in time".
