If Bungie and Activi$ion announce that year one legendaries and exotics will not have a upgrade path, will you continue to play destiny?
Edit 1: For those who would stay... Imagine having to completely replace your exotic armory. Every exotic would be useless except for PvP.
Edit 2: We are trending! :D
Edit 3: We Broke 1,000! This is my biggest post yet! Thank you all for your input!

Would stay though i would cry
-
I would be okay with it if we were going into destiny 2. But this year one weapon nerf tells me that the next tier of guns aren't going to be better than year one guns. They are going to fill the spot
-
The taken king is coming out with more guns than the original destiny had. Thats alot of freaking guns. Who cares if the old ones become redundant, were gonna have new toys to play with
-
Legendaries and exotics should be at the new damage level because this is still Destiny. Bungie can claim that TTK is a new game all they want but the truth is, this is a dlc for Destiny. I should be able to use everything I've earned in Destiny until Destiny 2.
-
Unfortunately things do have change but they should at least allow some legendaries to carry over and be ascended but that should be the individuals choice as to which ones they would like to keep for instance 1 of each say 1 primary, secondary and heavy that way each guardian has the choice of their preferred yr1 weapons and armour as well as their exotics and it would also clear vault space for the weapons and armour

Edited by AcheronticArts: 7/25/2015 5:21:54 PMYou can safely assume that at the very least exotics are staying, they just added the Lord of Wolves, Dregs Promise, and Queenbreakers Bow, it would be sheer nonsense to make them and other new weapons, including legendaries such as the Trials and PoE weapons obsolete when many players haven't had the chance of obtaining them You also should take PSN exclusive exotics into account, I doubt exotics are going anywhere
-
Think about it like an mmo. In WoWs case, would you use a level 60 legendary in a level 100 area? No, because it would suck. Sure they look cool, so keep the weapons for cosmetic or nostalgic reasons. But there will always be bigger and better things to use
-
Don't understand why you would render old stuff useless after a while Piss off. If thats the case im gone
-
Pretty sure they'll make exotics upgradeable but legendaries not.
-
it's more likely that only the legendaries will not be upgradeable
-
Edited by Geordie83: 7/25/2015 8:50:07 AMI'd rather they made the not upgradeable instead of nerfing them all, that way if you want to got do year 1 raids and Poe you still have decent year one weapons that can get the job done
-
As long as I can upgrade my Bad JuJu I'll be happy
-
Yeah because using Fatebringer, found verdict and gally for 10 years straight will be real fun right?
-
Leaving year one weapons behind might hurt abit.... but its nessesary (spelling?) I will personally keep a few to remember the good ol days in the years to come
-
I'd stay because the weapons are really only going to become more awesome.
-
They're going to at least allow exotics to carry over, otherwise they wouldn't be changing the exotics so much right before TTK drops.
-
Exotics will move to year 2, legendaries will become obsolete I believe.
-
I Don t mind legendaries becoming obsolete... Exotics that would really annoy me or just make me give up
-
I want to keep my stuff, I want to turn up in TTK with my original looking armour. Otherwise what's the point of all the grinding? I've spent all those hours for NOTHING?
-
If they're not better or equal to year one guns... BUH BYE.
-
Exotics won't be left behind Legendary gear will be and that's how it should be.
-
I'll be pissed but I'll stay. At least I can break them down for much needed parts if that's the case lol
-
Change is progressive guardians. We have to constantly evolve or we'll stagnate and die... But can I keep my Jewel of Osiris? ha ha.
-
Exotics will be upgradeable - that's why there are specific "tunings" of them in the upcoming weapon balance patch. Legendaries - maybe not
-
I am fine if the year 1 weapons can't be upgraded. If the new weapons turn out to be junk, and Bungie's track record thus far indicates they will be, that would be reason. But it may come down to there is too little actual content in the expansion. My point, I may leave but it has nothing to do with not being able to carry over year one weapons...
