Who else has a girlfriend that hates destiny?
Any other guardians out there have a girlfriend like mine that always wants to break your destiny game in half because your on it all the time? Just curious I thought it was pretty funny cause she buying me the taken king dlc :D lol

2 Repliesthe fact of the matter is if you are a gamer and your girlfriend is not...... either you or her are going to have to make sacrifices to what you enjoy. Unfortunately doing this breeds resentment. And being in a relationship full of resentment is probably not going to last. I'm not trying to say dump your gf or anything, but I can tell you a lot of my 'hardcore' gamer friends who have found partners who are not into games are generally less happy than those without a GF or those with one who typically enjoys games. I hope things work out for you, but she will likely see your entertainment as a waste of time, never giving thought to what she does that you feel is a waste of time. Of course.... if you REALLY love each other, then this will likely only be a small bump in what hopefully will be a long road.

9 RepliesMy girlfriend is actually pretty good about it. She knows gaming is a part of who I am so she accepts it. She even enjoys playing couch co-op with me. However I did start a new character for her on my Xbox One and I tried running her through the tutorial mission... Let's just say it ended with her throwing a temper tantrum and nailing me in the knee with the controller (accidentally as she threw it). However she did just walk in front of the tv the other day while I was playing Crucible. When she did she gave me the finger, caused me to die, and proceeded to tell me that I sucked at Destiny haha.

The struggle man, I can't play if she's home, and since she doesn't work weekends that severely limits my Trials of Osiris time, and since I work most Friday's and Monday's it really puts me in a bind, I'm very lucky to get to play at all

32 RepliesMy gf bought me my ps4 and destiny. She games a little bit too so i hooked it up with a gaming laptop :3 Not to say she doesnt give me shit sometimes. You know what really bums me out? When i turn off destiny willingly without her asking me to so i can spend some time with her and we i dunno watch some tv show or a movie together AND THE WHOLE TIME WOMAN IS ON HER PHONE. Im like shiiiiiiit wtf yo i turned my crack off you can put ur pintumblerstagram away for a minute

She doesnt hate destiny, she hates that sometimes I be like I pick you up at 5pm. I end up getting there at 8 because I'm gaming, When I get there your late again because your stupid game huh. Me no my cat ate my fish I had to perform surgery to that mf.

My girlfriend hates the game and doesn't understand what's so good about it. Said i can play on my own but not again with her. Meh "happy wife happy life" I'd chose my gf over a game anyways.

Then I marry the guy and I became depressed, he then suggested I should play cod and I got hooked, I didn't know I had the coordination. And been loving destiny. Hahaha now I love gaming. I play more than him and he gets mad bc some nights I rather play than spend some time with him.
