I'm sorry. But that's stupid as -blam!-.
If you already own Destiny and both expansions, why in God's name would you buy TTK Collector's Edition? That's $40 more than the digital download.
Even so, you can still buy the Collector's Edition emotes, shaders, etc. for $20 without the rest of it. Which makes your total $60. (This, by the way, is also stupid as -blam!-. Why would you pay $20 for that shit?)
Yes, you get some limited edition stuff. But is that really worth the $40 and re-buying all that stuff again?
I just don't understand why anyone would plop $80 down again when you already own over half the content.
Edit: Damn. Why did everyone get mad at Luke Smith for his throwing money at the screen comment? It looks like everyone in this topic isn't throwing their money, they're strapping it to rockets and shooting their money at the screen!

im on PS3 atm i dont got the disc for PS4 soooooo Buying the $80 collectors edition will give me the game which i need all the DLC (plan to give out TDB and HoW to some random fellow) and the bonus exotics/emotes and other goodies that come with it. Again i see no issue with spending My money, i enjoy this game and i will make sure i get as much of a experience as i can from it. Remember You Only Live Once #YOLO

You wouldn't do this because it's YOUR money (same reason I won't). But half the kiddos on here are just spending mommy and daddy's money, so they could care less.

Don't you see the majority of the people on this forum are brain dead. What people will never seem to understand is that we the consumers have more power than the coporations. If we don't buy it unless they fix the many problems the game has they will have no choice but to fix it

In all honesty i want the physical loot to keep my ghost edition company. Im looking into selling the disc and dlcs
-
3 RepliesGetting it for xbox 1 which gives me the game and other shit. I have it for 360 right now

PLUS (to add to what OP said) this is proof positive to Bungie that they can shit on us and we won't do anything about it. Sold us a game? Cool buy the whole again if you want this minor extra stuff. We should have gotten the minor stuff (emotes, etc) for free ESPECIALLY if we paid and extra $40 for cut content "DLC" like the sheep we are. They can do anything they want and the community will keep accepting it and accepting it. We have to draw the line eventually because this is a corporation we are dealing with and the only thing a corporation cares about is profit. Literally re buying a game we already bought is free money for them
-
So they can sell/give away their old Destiny disc.

1 ReplyI am buying ttk with the $20 part for two reasons. 1. I really like this game and have the money. 2. Class items will now have perks. Im guessing the perks on the new class items will be baller since its $20. I main a titan and to have a class item with a burning hammer is going to be sweet and im guessing it gives some sweet perks for sunbreaker.

3 RepliesDoesn't make sense to me, even an extra $20 for useless cosmetic shit is ridiculous, but people line up for that sort of thing, and that is the exact reason we see so much shit dlc for almost every game released these days. People will buy what they want to buy though, can't really tell them how to spend their money, even if it doesn't make sense in some cases.
-
1.) Because I like Destiny. 2.) $20 is not going to make me or break me.
-
Because I have money and I want to buy it. And preordering it at Target gets me a five dollar gift card.
-
Trinkets.
-
Because all of them grew up in activision CoD culture..and they have money to waste.
-
Because I can get all the collectors items while giving the content I already have to a friend.
-
Weirdos have fruity things they want to do with the strange coin.
-
5 RepliesBecause you buy it then sell your old disc and new dlc codes for 30-40 bucks then you sit there spending 0-10$ for exclusives as ttk is 40$
-
Because it's the collectors edition. I'll be buying it.
-
6 RepliesPeople can spend their money how they want. If they enjoy it leave them be.
-
I wanted it... planning on giving the things I already have to a friend so they only have to buy the taken king.
-
Physical goodies..and I need it on the ps4...

8 RepliesEdited by idoku: 7/22/2015 11:49:24 PMNo no no. The question is: why are people preordering a game months ahead?! Such a stupid concept. Just waiting for those exact people to complain about the "lack of promised content", same story every time, it's hilarious. "Hey, let's pay for something that is subject to change and not even done in the first place yet" - "WTF bungie, I didn't want this. Why u do diz to me, it can't possibly be my own fault for not thinking at all." *facepalm* Edit: Google southpark and preordering a game. That little clip/ cartoon describes it perfectly lol.

I would do 60 for taken King with emotes and Cayde-6 Cache. Anything else is dumb.
-
Edited by Ancient: 7/23/2015 3:14:41 AMI'm buying it and I own half the content already. I want it for the value of it. All the exclusive items plus the early access weapon pack. But the best reason I can give you is because i can. I work for my money and the right to do with it as I please, free of judgement. Plus I'm giving away my Dark Below and HoW to a less fortunate Guardian. I'm sure there is still a few out there who still need them.
-
I bought the collecter edition when I already own destiny.
-
I got money to blow. Nor do I give a -blam!- what people think about me for what I do with my hard earned cash. Buying TTKCE and the new Destiny Ps4. I do what I wants, stop hatin cause you broke.
