Playing skirmish, which I don't normally do, and we weren't that far behind and both my teammates ditched me so then I had to leave. Not cool man

I will leave any crucible game if a) I join into the middle of the match and b) the opposing team has a 5k+ lead with 15000 points on the board. I don't like to start games at severe disadvantages like that. You go in, maybe get about 5 kills, but die about 15 times because you get spawn killed by heavy and supers and shotguns/snipers because the other team already has complete map control. I don't play that game, and I won't allow anyone/any company to force me to.

1 ReplyEdited by O_Town_Racer: 7/23/2015 8:14:11 PMCan be many reasons - life (got a call you had to take) work (emergency email) wife needs you to take out the trash, only needed 1 head shot or post-mortem kill to complete a bounty and then back to orbit sleep - you stayed up too late and need to go to bed so you're fresh for work in the morning Not that it's ok to ditch a PvP team, but sometimes it just happens. Crucible - slightly annoying. Iron Banner - a little more annoying, but still not huge. Trials of Osiris - you're cruzin' for a bruisin' (or ban) so make sure to clear your schedule first so you don't have to quit!

Edited by LibGuy: 7/23/2015 6:25:55 PMFor me it's usually a combination of lag + losing. I'll only allow myself to be killed two seconds after disappearing behind a wall so many times before I'm out of there. I had a game the other day that I probably should have left where the top scorer (red bar) on the other team went 19-0 and was pretty much immune to damage. And on top of that my team couldn't open our heavy when it dropped. Just not a lot of reasons to stick around and play a game like that if there's no penalty for returning to orbit.

It protects the kd if they don't finish a game.
-
You didn't have to leave..you bailed on the enemy team.

10 RepliesThey have the Felicia syndrome

To many thorns, to many blink shotguns.

I quit out if my teammates keep releasing in the middle of reviving them when i know for a fact their timer had not run out. I quit out if my teammates run right past my ghost multiple times without reviving me even though they had every opportunity. I don't play with people who refuse to play smart and as a team.
-
2 RepliesI fight 1v3. Lol. That's what I do when this occurs
-
That's happened to me but I stay and try to fight it out.that last time I danced for a while then made a single hand come back
-
Agreed. On trials it happens all the time l, it's rude more than anything as just go after one bad result, even if it was them who played badly
-
9 RepliesThe obsession with K/D ratio....and using it as a measure of self-worth among FPS gamers. Its the same reason why you have players running around in Control matches-----killing everything in sight----but who refuse to risk themselves in trying to capture or defend any of the Control points.
-
Yes people do that all of the time it's stupid
-
2 RepliesNever leave control, idc how bad we're losing by. I do leave the other game modes if I'm completely caring and my team blows though. I only play the other game modes for my grimoire and there's no point playing a whole game for a loss when the grimoire only counts wins.
-
Kpd is everything to some people, and they don't want to tarnish it or don't man up to the challenge when getting beaten by another team. That's why people leave.
-
2 RepliesI see this more in control and clash, no so often in Skirmish. These people are more often than not nursing their K/D stat.
-
1 ReplyHey giiby. I moved your thread from #Community to #Destiny. #Destiny is more appropriate for anything and everything related to in-game Destiny content or discussion. Thanks!
-
Happens all the time, people even do it in rocket league lol spose they care more for k/d and stats than having fun.
-
prob cause you suck
-
People bail from activities in Destiny for many reasons. Sometimes for non-legitimate reasons.
-
Usually when both my teammates leave it turns into a 3v1 dance off
-
Funny because I end up playing better and pull off the win after they leave.
-
I try not to bail often. The only time I do is when my fireteam leader decides to leave and I follow or when I have an emergency (someone at the door/cats fighting/so on...).
-
Edited by Andy: 7/22/2015 9:21:09 PMbeen happening to me all day today in the elimination mode. we will be losing 3-2 and then someone will bail. usually its the person with the Trials of Osiris emblem that leaves. lol
-
I was playing this morning, and really dragging down my team, then I managed a few good hits with bladedancer and then our team score improved and we won the round. My point is, people shouldn't bail, they should play the damned game because you never know when your luck will change!
