Destiny movie?
Would anyone go watch it? For anyone who has bothered to read the grimiore the lore in this game is very interesting, there are lots of legends and back stories going on.
There aren't many video games that have succeeded in movie crossovers (mario, doom) but both of those games had no stories behind them. Imagine watching the lead up to Kabr entering the vault and taking on Atheon whilst having his fireteam wiped from existence, that would be epic.
What does everyone think??
Edit 1: Can not believe how many people there are claiming destiny has no story. It has too much story if anything, so much in fact they couldn't even fit it in the game.

I absolutely would, but I think that a TV series could be just as successful. The problem is deciding what to put in and what to leave out. There's so much story that it's hard to decide what to use, but there's so much action that it might make a boring movie or show. Another problem might be that there is so much hate by people who haven't played it and can't give a great game a chance because it's too unique to be like common shooters so it won't be seen because of the negative stuff before the movie starts.

A TV show would be way better because there would be a lot more time to fit the grimore into different episodes and seasons, rather than a few movies. But either way, a Destiny movie would be awesome! Also they should fit in pre- game, during Destiny and Destiny 2, along with the expansions, strikes, raids ect.

I think a destiny movie would be great nathan fillion is trying to get the funding for it he says he want to play cayde 6 in a movie he loves the parts in the games i think one based on the formation of the cayde ikora and zavala fireteam would be fantastic i have donated to the movie already im stoked

I think a destiny movie would be amazing just depends on how they go about it like they could have one warlock one titan and one hunter go through the story with one movie being about taking down crota then another about the taken king and then another about what ever the destiny 2 story is

Yes I would love to see a destiny movie and I bet people who don't even know the game exist like moms and dads would like it because of the action and cool weapons and the storyline.Just saying it makes me go crazy for a destiny movie.

I agree with the people saying Destiny would make a better TV series than a feature length movie. There is too much story in the background to fit into a two or even three hour movie. I also agree with the people saying that; if there were to be some kind of live action movie/series, it shouldn't be about our guardian. Every player already knows how that story goes, and seeing it again with more plot would just be boring, because we already know how each battle ends. I would however, love to see scenes in a Destiny movie/series that references the deeds of our guardian as passing comments from various characters. Something along the lines of: [i]["Did you hear about that new Guardian? The one that killed Atheon... I feel safer knowing that they're around to protect us"/i] Probably not something as cheesy as that but you get the idea, having our guardian mentioned as more of a myth or legend in a movie/series would be so cool as a player.

Oh it has a ton of story... just no script. IMO they'd have to find an entry point in the universe much in the way Star Wars (A New Hope) did. The universes are equally as deep and once Destiny's universe is better known then they could have one-offs like Rouge One. I mean why not an intro scroller like Star Wars? It's needed to fill the audience in, in a non-corny way. Would just need an amazing script. Why not hand it to Disney and make it something special? What's been done with Star Wars and Marvel Studios has been beyond amazing.

Yes I very much agree. I would pay so much to see a destiny movie. I've had moments with my friends were we would search for squad members to do crucible and stuff and I'd daydream if stuff about a movie and yeah. Making a movie would be awesome

I think what should happen is the main story that u play should be turned into a movie but only destiny and destiny the taken king because that would be a good story and then all the gromoir and all those story's could be turned into a t.v show

Hmm, maybe a TV show better. Too many actual interesting cheracters in the lore to put into one movie. And the Guardian we play as are not that interesting and we have already played the game. A TV show that each season or episode shows off some different cheracter and their story. Even the back story of some of the exotic guns and their owners are pretty cool.

I wouldn't want them to make a movie on a story we already played. I'd want a movie on another part of the Destiny universe of a story we've been waiting for it to unfold. Maybe the bring of Oryx's father, Osmium King. Maybe another story of Twilight Gap. This will show the Darkness is now coming to finally take over the last city. Maybe a story of the Fallen bowing now to their new machine god, Rasputin. The return of Atheon from a different Time Complex. I don't know... something new.

I would love to watch a destiny movie! Some people are just scared that the movie might be bad and ruin the game, but if Bungie and Activision work hard the movie would be a huge success!
