Absolutely not. Quite the opposite. Ps4 and all xboxs require a monthly subscription where as PC doesn't. Certain games yes very much so but were those games on console they would still be charging that fee. Multiple games have proved that in the past. They just normally don't do as well on consoles. Steam is all free except the games you purchase which obviously won't be free. Except of course warframe smite dota2 and so on which are free to play games and free to download. Cheaper very much so at first. In the long run though the PC will be cheaper unless you find yourself absolutely needing to play games like wow. Steam purchases the rights to sell a game for x amount of money. In most cases to all giving them the rights to sell an indefinite amount of copy's of that game. The publisher,developers get a huge chunk of money and steam gets the rights to sell the game indefinitely. That then gives steam the right to sell the game at whatever price they want. During times like summer and Christmas you'll find games that even used would be 30 dollars for 5 or 10 bucks on steam.
