Out of curiosity, did you play halo 2 in it's prime?

Just feel like there are so many original and interesting games with so much more depth in gameplay strategy and story. At least to me halo always felt very plain

It is plain and I feel that's why some people think it's great. It was plain enough to where anybody could pick it up and enjoy it but there are also little techniques and gimmicks that created a large skill gap
