This is where you can meet awesome people from the Bungie Community.
There are a lot of passionate fans of Bungie games, many have been here for over a decade; inhabiting this website long before Destiny was revealed. Here you can celebrate the strong sense of community that builds around all Bungie games. 12 RepliesEdited by wickedwahine808: 7/21/2015 4:38:40 AMHello Cozmo and welcome to #Community ;) a place where users can introduce themselves, make friends and contribute ideas, thoughts, opinions, art, carnage & other game related subjects (Destiny or non Destiny) to the Bungie community. I think the question is more "What do you not want to see when you visit #Community". If you dig deep enough, you'll find #Community is doing just fine, except it has been buried alive by guardians posting +34 raid BFF classifieds, or singing the sad songs of Nerf & RNG. The balance between old timers and new to Bungie/Destiny users seems around 1 in 1000, if that... Right now, the old timers are huddled inside their little bubbles, keeping their conversations and discussions alive, mostly hidden from view. Destiny has millions of players, and unless Bungie puts some real effort in preserving some of the tradition, I'm honestly not sure how #Community can survive. But then again, does Bungie want to do that? From the structure of this site, it seems unclear... The new Bungie identity reflects the game itself in a sense that the main focus is loot, weapons, gear (I do love my new butt flaps) and a hefty serving of numbers and statistics. Where does the community fit in there? If you want your culture, language, traditions to survive, you need to pass it on to your kids, grand kids, they will probably not look for it on their own. [i](Some do though, I've seen the question "What is this place?" regarding #SeventhColumn more than once.)[/i] It's not about re-creating the past, but rather educating your current audience. If Bungie never or rarely focuses on anything other then Destiny itself, why would anyone else? Edit: I had to share that pic ;)
