Why God why nerf pve guns for pvp reasons.

That's the reason I have absolutely decided I've had enough. Watching it happen to vex in January then everywhere in 1.1.1 made me sick.

  • They were nerfed for PvE reasons. They are too strong, and Destiny lacks content. Bungie has to nerf to extend player population numbers online.

          • The best way for them to solve that problem is to have a small arsenal of weapons specifically for Crucible/ IB/ToO like they had with Halo 3 PvP. One that is completely balanced. No upgrades of any kind. No Exotics. Completely stock. Now PvP will be balanced. The PVE arsenal with all Exotics can be restored to their original state.

              Every game is forced to do this- because some players do both activities. The more successful ones have a greater separation of the pk zones. Yet still allow player interactions. Say in the world if you die you loose you items and your equipment gets damaged if you die from a pve death. And in pvp you only suffer pvp Stat loss. That whole system is missing here. And seems to be based more off the halo style of K/d level (no real stats) So really untill they have a system that can cope better with the needs of both the pvp and pve environment. . We are all screwed. Basically the designers should have asked for a different kind of leveling system from whoever made that development tools

            • It's not pvp reasons. We are beating the strikes too fast by the time their done Nerfing it will take 3-8 hours per strike. Raid will be 24.

                Because you've been lied to, and manipulated by, a company that is bereft of ideas and creativity. The real reason for the new Update is because Bungie are catering to the lowest common denominator - the latecomers - and they don't own Gjallahorn, Thorn, Fatebringer, Suros Regime...need I go on? The fact is they have betrayed the early adopters of Destiny, heeded the constant whining of 10-year-old kids on the forums - their future long-term audience - and made up an elaborate ruse for, ahem, 'weapon balancing'. They even concocted a verbose post rationalising this 'weapon balancing'. You can read it, but don't waste your time. It's all bullshit. The fact is you've purely and simply, been lied to and betrayed and should remove that cancerous tumour from your console and vow to never, ever, ever play Destiny again - no matter what honey-coated waxed pussy they throw at you. If that rings true, then do it.

                • As a former AR user I'm happy to see them returned to glory. Shotguns should've been left alone in PvE Adding "tension" to ice breaker makes ZERO sense. All it does is add 18 seconds to a full recharge, which makes me think twice about giving up that exotic slot to a sniper. Leave the G-horn alone To all the handcannon lovers out there I'm truly sorry you're about to feel the pain of having a beloved gun nerfed to uselessness. It really sucked when they did it to AR's. By the way Bungie, about a week after rebalancing drops. Expect the forums to come alive with the new "it" weapon in crucible needing a nerf from the PvP players. It's a vicious cycle that's not going to end until you separate PvE and PvP performance on weapons.

                • What's really pissing me of is Bungie and gaming media acting like we're wrong for liking our weapons. We work hard for what we got rng is a bitch. It's not like you can just buy black hammer or hawkmoon or gally from a vender. Most of us put mouths of play into getting those weapons, plenty of us still don't have them. Now it just feels like Bungie is saying -blam!- us and our time.

                      • They are buffing auto rifles, rocket launchers, and scout rifles. It's called weapon balancing. It allows guardians to use the different weapons rather than only one special gem. Let's face it I use Fatebringer for Poe 35 almost exclusively. Why? It has no range fallout. HC's should not have the range of scout rifles. Fire teams will now need to plan weapon load outs for top tier objectives. Someone long, mid, and short range.
