If not then there will be next to no point in running vog or crota any more
-
My guess is that you will be able to, but they won't release it right away. I could see it being a thing possibly by the beginning of 2016 or so. As we have seen with destiny over the past year. If you like something don't dismantle it, you never know when it might be usable again.

Nobody knows for sure yet. I'm assuming we'll have to wait until late August or early September for Bungie to confirm or deny this.

2 RepliesThey need to make more ways to get to 34 than just raid which they did but once ethical light becomes obsolete they will need a new way. I know i got tired of seeing everyone at the top using all the same armor. At least at the moment you can get to 34 and choose the perks you want.
-
2 RepliesBut that would give current players an advantage over newbies that pick up the game in september. We all know that the longer youve played the game, the more you get screwed. So no, they wont be upgradable..
-
They need to just remove the light system overall and have a normal rank system like borderlands. The light system is what hurts this game the most. Its one reason why theres a weekly cap on what you can earn in the game.
-
they will otherwise there was really no point in 2.0
-
They will eventually.

1 ReplyIf Year 1 weapons were to become obsolete then why the nerf to Black Hammer? No point in nerfing it if were to be a 365 max dmg weapon.
-
Probably not... Budgie likes caving in the the whiners so they will probably make day 1 players grind all over again for the new gear. And the talk of new gear being able to role the stats is even more reason this most likely will happen
-
Keep reading the weekly updates and hope they give us as much or more heads up as they did in HOW
-
1 ReplyWell, weapons? Maybe. Gear? I hope so. Don't wanna look like a damn clone again.

Edited by BadgermanPrime: 7/21/2015 11:48:17 AMAlmost 100% certainty exotics will be. Legendary stuff is a bit more questionable, obviously they want us to use new weapons but I don't think they'll outright make the old gear obsolete. Perhaps some mid ground where the weapons can be increased to a certain point but the new stuff will overall be more powerful? That's where I'm putting my money but I guess we'll have to wait and see
-
2 RepliesBungie is evading this question like Jerry evading Tom... Latest nerfs were a step to that direction imo, i believe Bungie will let us ascend the Exotics but i strongly feel they will make us grind further for new guns. The only way to do that is to keep old guns less powerful like they did in Dark Below expansion.

The wording of all previous mentions were no. Like Year One caps at 365 and Year Two weapons have a high cap.
