10 Commandments of Lord Gjallarhorn
1. The first rule of Gjallarhorn is that you never speak of Gjallarhorn.
2. The second rule is that you never use Gjallarhorn unless it's absolutely vital for you to WIN.
3. Third rule, never touch Gjallarhorn outside of Combat Zone, ever. (even with a glove)
4. Never brag about having a Gjallarhorn.
5. Owning a Gjallarhorn doesn't make it a prerequisite to join a clan or group. (if it does they lack skill anyway)
6. Truth, ThunderLord, and Dragon's Breath are not substitutes for the Gjallarhorn. (unless Burn is involved)
7. Those who don't have Gjallarhorn, HATE it. Spam their posts about why Gjallarhorn needs to be nerfed with images of games they should be playing instead: (e.g. Candy Crush, Skylanders, any PGA game.)
P.S. Be sure to add "Git Gud" with every post for that added burn.
8. Understand Xur will sell Gjallarhorn once a year. So plan your vacations accordingly every summer.
9. Gjallarhorn doesn't need a buff. It can hold its own over time regardless of the challenges.
10. YOU DON'T NERF THE GJALLARHORN. That's the cardinal rule. This is the ONLY weapon developers are never allowed to touch, ever.
Let Bungie know how you feel about the last rule being violated. Reply to this post by mentioning something great that becomes ordinary by removing one significant trait from it.
Example:
Gjallarhorn with a nerf is like a Titan without any upper-body strength. (Useless)
Update: Rejoice for cryhards have convinced Xur to sell... The Gjallarhorn.

If people aren't getting onto fireteams because they lack a gjally than welcome to life. It gives others more incentive to work hard(er) to earn a gjally. The alpha male lion runs the pride by being the toughest; The best at a sport gets chosen by a team to play as a pro by working hard to be the best option available. I don't pay to go see a bunch of football players who are not allowed to be any better than others. I'm sure there will be new upcoming weapons that we'll have to go through rigorous tasks to get, similar to some exotic bounties now, once Taken King comes out. But in the meantime, those who have earned it should be able to have fun, THEIR WAY - seeing as they paid money to play. I can say that because for a long time I was the player w/ crappy armor, weapons & no gjally - hell I'm still not @ the level most players I play with are at. I never had probs not getting into fireteams. Never having a Gjally made me, and others I'm sure, seek alternate ways to contribute to fireteams. Now, almost everyone will have a gjally. Then, once it's nerfed it will become the Red Death of rockets - it will still be special to some but not really a big deal to the other 99%. I'll prob use my ascended Hunger of Crota more often at that point, because when damage is irrelevant the mortars look cooler than wolf rounds. Unless they have something similar to the idea which Gjally stood for (a prized jewel) in Taken King DLC I'll prob play less - I won't have that one reward I'm devoted to spending hours attaining. I think a lot of people played more to try and get it. So, what happens when it's less special and available to everyone (w/ strange coin) - there's less reason to spend as much time on Destiny.

1 ReplyI have three upgraded Gjalarhones one with each character of mine, (not to mention those extra i dismantled -I was lucky with this weapon ) and damn its not replaceable. However; to tell you the truth i end up not using any other Exotic weapon in PVE (only in very special cases). the only advantage of this expected nurf (rule's violation ...) is - damn it - now we can use the other exotics. And now after that nurf i guess it will be as XUR soon.
