Previously, I thought the Icebreaker's self-titled perk was only triggering on precision kills. After paying more attention to it, I notice it only makes the explosion sound on precision kills, but it always causes an explosion if you get a kill with it.
However, I've noticed something odd about the explosions. Much like in a Michael Bay movie, they're completely pointless. Icebreaker explosions cause no damage to surrounding enemies. Even with a precision kill, triggering the same visual/audio effect as Firefly, they cause no splash damage. I even had a scout rifle with Firefly equipped as a comparison, and Firefly causes splash damage, but Icebreaker never does.
If this is the intended behavior of the perk, then I'm left wondering, what's the point? It's completely useless if it causes no extra damage to ANYBODY.

Edited by BunkerGATE13: 7/21/2015 8:34:16 AMI think the explosion disorientes the foes nearby. However it definitely causes splash damage. The things have to be really tightly grouped together. . But it does in fact work. ..haven't seen the numbers pop up really..
